Chapter 1 Prologue

In the depths of their intertwined lives, the bond between Aroush and Aleena remained eternally enigmatic. Born as twins, yet their destinies diverged on a fateful crossroad. Aroush, driven by an inferno of passion, confronted Aleena with a tempestuous fury, her eyes ablaze with an undeniable possessiveness.

"We may bear the same flesh and blood, but true kinship eludes us. He is mine, entwined in the fabric of my existence, and his heart beats solely for me. No amount of seduction on your part shall lure him away, for what your heart desires will never truly be yours," Aroush proclaimed, her words resonating with a burning intensity.

In the face of Aroush's fierce proclamation, Aleena responded with an enigmatic smile, her voice imbued with an unwavering confidence. "It matters not whether his love belongs to you or to me. He is the man who has pledged his life to me, bound to me by the sacred vows of matrimony. It would be wise for you to cease your endeavors and seek your own destined love."

Undeterred, Aroush closed the distance between herself and Zia, who had just arrived, seizing his hands in a desperate plea. "Please, reveal the truth to her. The love you hold in your heart is meant for me, not for her," she implored, her voice taking on an innocent, beguiling tone.

Zia, resolute in his stance, gently extricated his hands from Aroush's grasp before pointing an accusatory finger in her direction. "Lay not a hand upon me again, for you are not my wife, nor shall you ever be," he declared, his voice resounding with indignation.

Aroush, undeterred by his rejection, curled her lips into a sly smirk. "True, I am not your wife, but I am the one who has captured your heart, your first love."

With an air of finality, Zia retorted with a hiss, "Love that has dissipated into the ethereal realms holds no significance. The woman standing by my side, holding my heart in her grasp, is the epitome of my affection, my everything," he declared, firmly clutching Aleena's hand.

Her voice heavy with desperation, Aroush pleaded, "You're not being fair. How can you simply cease to love me? I know it to be a falsehood, a facade to distance yourself or to enact the same pain I once inflicted upon you. It would be better if you abandon this charade and return to me. I cannot bear the thought of you living with regret."

A gentle chuckle escaped Zia's lips as he responded, "Who led you to believe that I would dwell in regret after finding the paragon of womanhood, the one destined to complete my soul? Losing you was, in truth, the greatest boon I ever received."

In the face of unyielding love and shattered hopes, their paths diverged irreversibly, forever altering the course of their intertwined lives.
