I Shouldn't "HAVE"

At midnight, I got a call from Mandy my bestfriend.

"I can't do this Bernice, can you please do this for me? we're friends right!" Mandy told her friend Bernice in a tone that was compelling.

Bernice replied swiftly.... "But Mandy you know I'm not in position to do this, Why don't you do it because I can't fill in for you this time , c'mon Mandy! This is something personal stop acting like a child"

"All you have to do is just go out on one date night with Percy, just one! and that is it". Mandy said,

"Why don't you just tell this guy you have a boyfriend, jeez!!" Bernice snapped

"No stupid! I can't, not with the money he has spent on me, I can't bail on him now...…"

"Okay fine! I'll help you, but on one condition! you don't get to put me in this situation again"

"Okay promise, muaaaahh!!" Mandy said as she kisses the phone **hangs up**

Mandy was supposed to go out on a blind date with a guy she met online named Percy, but she couldn't because she had other things planned out so she had Bernice fill in for her.

Percy didn't know Mandy in person neither has he seen her picture after three weeks of them chatting but they have agreed to meet that evening in a bar. Bernice went out with Percy, and he lots of good things to say about her, and also nice things to say about himself. Bernice liked him because he was smart and really cool; a perfect gentleman.

Then the evening came night, and the night wasn't young anymore so Bernice decided to go home but Percy suggested that he took her to his place since it was pretty late and his place was closer than hers. He ensured her that he was going to drop her off the next day at her place. Bernice wanted to decline but she just had to do it since she was playing the role of Mandy. So she went ahead and accepted the request.

Percy's place was nice and cozy, so Bernice made herself comfortable in the house, and showered. She checked on Percy when she was done, to see what he was still up in his room, fortunately for her he was already asleep.

She laid on the other side of the bed as she watched a movie on television. Few minutes later, she fell asleep, till she woke up to a cold touch on her thighs under the sheets. It felt nice at first but after the touches, followed with some aggressive caressing. She tried to break free but his hands became more firm than ever. Percy climbed on her and tried to force himself on her, she begged him to stop but he kept on trying to separate her legs. He told her not to beg him since they were both going to enjoy the moment if only she comply. He ensured her that it wouldn't hurt, and Bernice believed him because he sent the message in a soothing tone.

She believed him, and she let him have his way because she didn't want to struggle with him no more. Bernice knew she had made a mistake when she felt piercing sharp pain; tears rolled down her cheeks. She screamed and told him to stop that she didn't want to anymore, but he didn't want to stop, he kept on forcing himself on her till she bled out. Bernice didn't know what to believe anymore because this was not how she imagined her first time to be like, she just wanted the night to be over so she can leave because she realized she didn't think it through before agreeing to go to his house at first.

After he was done, he rolled over and smirked feeling fulfilled. Bernice weakly sat up, and regretful thoughts roamed her mind. By the time it was 5:00 in the morning, she stood up and went to have a hot bath. when she was done, she woke him up so he can drop her off at her place but he ignored her and told her they will leave by 6:00 instead. He kissed her forehead and touched her cheeks with his palm, as he drew his face closer to hers. "No need to worry or hurry angel, you're so sweet" he said, as he bits her lower lip and inserted his tongue inside her mouth.

Bernice felt so wanted and at the same time she felt like she was being abused. He had sex with her again that morning and all she felt afterwards was pains and resentment towards Percy and her friend Mandy for putting her in that position. She thought to herself how she had let herself down, and made tons of mistake in just one night.

At that moment, she never thought her first time would be with someone she didn't know. She had always pictured it to be with the man of her dreams and not with a stranger. Bernice felt less of a woman that day. When she went home, she never spoke of what happened to anyone, not even to her friend Mandy.
