Three years ago, I had a dream—a dream of leaving my home country behind and embarking on a new journey in Canada. It felt like the allure of endless possibilities and the pursuit of my passions beckoned me, igniting a fire within my soul. But as the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months, it felt as though that dream was slipping away, a distant mirage teasing me from afar.

I had made plans, meticulously charting my path towards Canada. Yet, obstacles seemed to multiply, and the road to my aspirations became winding and treacherous. Doubt crept in, threatening to extinguish the flickering flame of hope within me. It seemed as though my dream would forever remain just that—a dream but I remained hopeful and chose not to give up. Finally, two years ago, against all odds, my dream finally materialized. I stood at the bustling airport, clutching my passport tightly in my trembling hands. This was it—the moment I had eagerly awaited and anxiously dreaded. Leaving my home country behind to pursue my dreams in Canada was both exhilarating and daunting.

As I walked through the airport terminal, bidding farewell to my friends and family, a mixture of emotions swirled within me. Tears welled up in my eyes as I hugged my loved ones tightly, promising to stay in touch and assuring them that this was not goodbye forever. It was a heartfelt farewell, a moment filled with both joy and sadness, knowing that I was embarking on a new chapter of my life.

Now, as I reflect on that moment in my life , I find myself two years into my journey in Canada. The memories of my struggles, triumphs, and encounters flood my mind. It has been a rollercoaster ride of self-discovery and personal growth. I've met incredible people, Eric and Kate my two best friends, meeting them two years ago was one the best people that I met when I first got here. As I immerse myself in the present, two years have passed since my arrival in Canada. Memories of the past blend seamlessly with the experiences of the present, shaping my journey in ways I never could have imagined. Having just completed my associate degree in international relations, my heart is filled with hope and anticipation.
