The Alpha's Rejection

"My boyfriend does a lot for me and I can't stop thanking the Moon goddess for bringing him my way." Jennifer boasts as she and Selene head to the school's cafeteria.

They were just stepping out of the morning lecture class and decide to take a stop by the cafeteria to have some meal.

Selene can't help but nod her head like an agama; she had no man asking her out, neither did she have any man to call her own.

The single life was really telling on her and Jennifer only worsened the situation by always shoving her man in her face.

"I hope the Moon goddess blesses me with my mate one day so that I can also have a feel of this paradise of being in love." Selene replies and plays with her hair. "You must be indeed blessed to have a mate to yourself already. We the unmated wolves have to work harder on ourselves so that our mate also gets to find us."

They both burst out in laughter. The cafeteria was unusually noisy and all saucy, with the voices of students railing across the whole school.

Jennifer would have normally asked that they return back to their dorm just because of her hate for an overcrowded place, but she was obviously too hungry and needed to put something in her aching stomach.

"What would you care to have?" Selene asks Jennifer when she notices the sudden change in her facial expression. She looked irritated by the whole scene, seeing everyone mess themselves up and yell at the top of their voices made her even sicker.

She exchanged glances with Selene and gives her a reassuring look. "Let's get in, I'll make my order when we meet the receptionist." She says conclusively and Selene nods in approval.

Jennifer soon begins to hear someone yell her name behind her, backing it up with other enticing names, and she knew instantly that it would be no one else but Casper, her mate; no one else addressed her with such sweet names.

She turns back and meets his gaze, catching his charming eyes as he tries to meet up with them. He finally meets up and wouldn't stop gasping for air. "I've been calling you for ages babe. Where's your phone?" Casper asks and plants a kiss on her forehead, almost not recognizing Selene's presence.

"Oh hey... pardon my manners, I didn't see you earlier." He says and offers his hand for a handshake. Selene in turn receives his hand without hesitating, and smiles inwardly.

"It's perfectly fine.. I'm honored to be noticed by the Alpha by the way."

"Oh don't be silly. What's that?" Casper asks and hits her arm jokingly. "Can we leave now? There's a lot to eat and drink in this classy restaurant I'm about to take you both to. This old looking school's cafeteria doesn't tell well of my status as the Alpha."

Casper was the boastful type and almost everyone in college knew about that. He would always like to flaunt his wealth wherever he went.

"Here's the menu sir, you can make your order." The waiter says, handing him the restaurant's menu which had a list of all the intercontinental dishes in the world.

Jennifer whimpers and adjusts her seat while Selene wouldn't stop taking pictures of the gigantic restaurant.

"Huh? Really? Taking pictures? Why exactly?" Casper asks, almost laughing at her. "You should be eating and not taking pictures."

"I know right! I just want to save these into my drafts and remind my kids someday that their mom once visited a big restaurant in her college days."

"Oh, you are just so funny. Well, do whatever is pleasing to you."

"What would you eat my love?" He asks and turns to face his mate. "You should eat something so that you will be able to eat me up later." He whispers less audibly to her with a sly smile.

Jennifer holds her head in surrender and smiles back at him. They both begin to laugh in loud voices, raising the attention of almost everyone in the restaurant. Selene is not left behind, she blushes inwardly at how cute the couple looked being with each other.

The waiter soon arrives with their orders, Selene picks one platter while Casper and Jennifer take one to themselves.

Casper plants yet another kiss on Jennifer's forehead as they depart from each other's presence. Casper heads back to his dorm after he had accompanied the ladies to their afternoon lectures.

"Do have a great day my love, call me when you're coming." He says and waves them goodbye as he hurries down to his car which he had left on since he wouldn't be going far.

As he is about to get into the car, he hears a threatening word which forces him to jump out and lock up the car doors.

"Who the hell are you and what can you do?" He asks boldly, swinging his arms behind him. "Get out of hiding if you are bold enough to take me on a fight!"

All of a sudden, Jay appears from nowhere and points his index finger at Casper.

"And who are you?" Casper asks with a savage tone, sounding less interested by all the drama Jay was putting up.

"You mean you don't know who I am?"

"Who are you young man? I'm running out of time."

"Okay, you are probably a new student in this college yet you know everyone but you don't know me. I'll let you know anyway because you really need to know who is standing before you."

Casper heaves a sigh. He wouldn't have to put up with all these drama, will the young man start talking already? He leans closer regardless to hear what the young man in question had to say.

"Incase you don't know, I'm Jay, Jennifer's step brother."

"And so?"

"If I must advise you, I'll suggest you stay far from her if you don't want your pack destroyed. You deserve better as an Alpha and she is definitely not the right one for you." Jay mustered.

"She is Omega!"
