Love is expensive!, That's true for Muna, her fate has been destined from birth, she happened to be the chosen, as per custom, she's not allowed to marry or have anything romantic with another gender. The only thing that separated her from her dreams was just a pathway and also the coronation of the crown prince, Acumen. She planned to escape the spiritual realm after the coronation of the prince, but things took a dramatics turn when a dangerous villain escaped from their grip. She has to catch the villain before he gets hold of the sacred emerald, but her journey was delayed because of all the challenges that come their way. In the act of saving her twin sister, she got stabbed by the sword that was gotten from the sacred emerald. Knowing that she was about to die, she decided to visit the human world.
Growing up, Muna was seen as the weakest among her peer group and other people because of her lack of powers.
Her father was ashamed of her, and the mere sight of her spoiled his mood the whole day. Because of that, Muna was separated from the rest of her family members.
Emgroge, her father, saw her as a waste and disgrace to society and his family's reputation.
How could such a powerful man like Chief Emgroge have a child like Muna, who was born without any superpowers? The crowd whispered as they saw her tagging along behind her father from a distance.
Muna, of course, heard this, but there was nothing she could do. She could not call them liars or rebuke them because what they were saying about her was the truth. She could only try her best and also pray to have powers like the rest of her kind.
"I wasn't born with superpowers like the rest, but that doesn't mean I don't have hands like the rest," Muna said to herself as she picked up the sword that was given to her by her brother, Kevin, as their birthday gift.
Muna started practicing how to fight with swords and other weapons, as well as the basic skills for survival.
Muna had dreams, and her dream was to be someone whom the entire realm looked up to for protection and wisdom, and also as an inspiration to those who were not born with powers like her.
Muna was ready to do everything in her power to make sure her father liked and accepted her the way he accepted the rest of her siblings.
Being seen as the weak one by the entire town is something not pleasing, no matter your family status and background. They would criticize you and also make life hard for you. Muna faced all sorts of criticism from her elder sisters, her classmates, and even some of her teachers.
The rate at which they taunted and abused her, if it had been someone else, they would have committed suicide.
As usual, it was a bad day for Muna, as her siblings were throwing abusive words at her. Muran and Luran were insulting her.
She knows they also see her as a waste, but that doesn't give them the right to criticize her as the rest of the world does.
If she decided to stand up for herself, she's indirectly digging her own grave, since she doesn't have superpowers like the two girls, and she only knows how to swing and flip her swords.
Muna decided to ignore and avoid them by going to her secret training ground to train herself. Muna could only endure the humiliation and pain as she waited for the time she would prove to the world that she's also like them.
Muna was never allowed to eat or dine with the rest of the family because she was seen as an outcast. She cooked her own food and wasn't given any money for her basic needs in life. Muna has always struggled to provide for herself by doing jobs for other people secretly, and that's how she puts food on her table.
After training for the day, Muna was extremely tired and hungry. All she needed was a warm bath after eating.
"Oh my goodness, who did this to my food?" Muna cried out as she opened her pot of rice only to find it filled with soil.
Muna looked at the spoiled food, and she could not control her anger. It's high time she deals with the culprit. She won't let the culprit escape this time, even if she has no superpowers, she knows how to fight with a sword.
Muna decided to ask everyone in her father's mansion. This was the first time after eight years that Muna was stepping foot in her father's mansion. She could barely recognize it as things had changed.
"Who spoiled my food?" Muna shouted. She could not forget the promise she made never to enter the mansion anywhere that the sun and rain could not touch her.
Muna shouted, and Muran, who could not endure Muna's loud shout, came out.
Muna immediately asked her elder sister, deep down knowing that the culprit was none other than Muran and Luran.
"Who gives you the right to ask me such a stupid question?" Muran said as she pushed Muna out of her way.
Muna stood back on her feet and blocked Muran's path, asking her the same question.
"Who mixed sand in my food?"
Muran pushed Muna out of her way, this time very hard, causing Muna to fall on the floor with her butt.
"I'm the one. What would you do?" Muran said as she laughed before continuing her movement.
Muna dragged Muran by the hair, preventing her from taking any other movement.
"Ouch, my hair! Muna, are you out of your mind?" Muran shouted as her anger welled up in her heart, and the two started fighting, attracting the attention of the entire household.
Seeing that she could not defeat Muna when it came to martial combat skills, Muran decided to use her superpowers.
Muran had been looking for a chance to beat Muna and destroy her goddess-like pretty face, and today seemed like her lucky day.
Muran tried to freeze Muna, but Muna dodged effortlessly.
"I may not be born with special powers like you, but I won't back down without a fight," Muna said as she drew out her swords.
"Let me see what you've got, silly girl," Muran said as she started throwing ice balls at Muna, who used her swords as her only source of protection.
Seeing the tough fight between his two daughters, Emgroge ordered his servants to bring out his special chair and one of his wines. He was ready to see who would be the winner.
Seeing that it was difficult for her to defeat Muna, Muran increased her energy and started throwing not only ice balls but also flames at Muna.
Muna struggled to keep up with the energy, and seeing that her only chance of winning against Muran was by getting close to her, Muna struggled with the elements that were being thrown at her, just to get closer to Muran.
Reaching where Muran was, Muna used her hand to hit Muran slightly, and Muna fainted immediately. She had exhausted her powers, but still, not a single hair from Muna's head was touched.
