But with their newfound love accomplish their mission and withstand the trials of power and responsibility or will it crumble like the false promises of the past? Main Characters: Aella: Werewolf, Alpha, a rare bloodline. Aella was the next alpha of the pack. But she took love and lovers too seriously. She gave up the alpha position and even ran away from the marriage for Aidan. But she was cheated by him. As a result, she died in agony. After her rebirth, she begins to take revenge. She wanted revenge on her father, stepmother, and the Alpha pair that ruled over them. She gets together with Logan after the revenge mission. Logan: Alpha is the winner of the alpha candidate for the strongest pack and also the winner of the leader candidate for all packs. He was to take over the Alpha position once he found his mate. Although he was very strong, there were so many people peeping into his position. Cold, ruthless in appearance, and also brutal to those who didn't know him. He got close to Aella and although he was cold and ruthless he was nice to her even when the feeling he had for her wasn't deep enough. He gets together with Aella after helping her get her revenge. Louve: Aella's stepsister, malevolent and over-ambitious. She plots with her mother to trick Aidan into choosing her as the pack's Luna and connives together with her mother, father, and Aidan to clear off Aella's mother's clan and Also kill Aella herself. Aidan: Alpha, the son of the most prominent family of the pack. He liked Aella but because Aella was stronger than him he wanted to be supreme so he conspired deliberately with Louve to make Aella lose her alpha position. After Aella's rebirth, she changed and he started to fall in love with Aella, a different feeling from how he felt during her last life. Jordan: Aella's father the Alpha of the pack. Because of his relationship with Aella's mother's pack, he didn't like Aella. He thinks that Aella despises him as much as her mother's family. Jordan and Aella's mother got together because they were true mates but Aella's mother's clan was stronger than Jordan's pack. Because of their bond, they gave birth to Aella. Aella's mother committed suicide because she couldn't stand being with Aella's father and the effects of their mate bond caused Jordan to loathe Aella and her mother's clan. Ella: Aella's cousin, one of Aella's mother's clan. She had the power to foresee the future and look into the past she carried and continued the bloodline of werewolves and witches. So she had the power of both a werewolf and a witch. She inherited the witch's seer ability and was the only one who knew that Aella was reborn. Conflict: Aidan discovered that he already had feelings for Aella after she was reborn and he wanted her but she had a say. He was ready to get Aella back at all costs. But Aella knew what she wanted and stuck with Logan to find her revenge against him.
Aella's POV I watched the scene unfold right in my face. My Father, Jordan, and Eleanne, my stepmother stood transfixed at a spot with me, watching the scene unfold. My fellow werewolves from my mother's clan were executed at the new mate-matching ceremony. I blinked once, twice, and thrice, wishing this was one of the visions I saw when I was being transformed. But, I was not an inch close to transforming. I was in my human state, fully embodied with human flesh. And there was Aidan, smiling triumphantly. The crown meant for the new Alpha seated on his head.
Aidan, the same werewolf whom I respected as her mate, had betrayed me. All the werewolves of my mother's clan had been executed moments ago in just one second, not a Wolf was spared. What did they ever do to deserve this? I wanted to ask questions. I needed to know their offense. I desired answers from him, from Aidan. Aidan, the new Alpha and weakest werewolf had promised to make me his mate if only I graced him with the post of an Alpha, a post which was rightfully mine. My mother's clan was the strongest in the whole of the East, they all knew this. I looked at them, I had watched the bodies of my fellow wolves from my mother's clan lifeless on bare ground. Now, what next? Why was I being spared? I deserve to die too, I didn't want to see any more of this. "You are of no use to me anymore, Aella." It was Aidan's voice. Such a gut! He still had the mouth to speak, after everything he had done. If I had been lucky enough to foresee all of this, I would never have decided to hand my post as an Alpha to him. "You bastard," I muttered, watching him come closer. "What did I ever do to you?" "Nothing, dear Aella," he said, trails of laughter plastered on his face. Has my condition become so funny? I couldn't move from my spot, shock still had the better part of me. Transform... I would not just transform yet, I would shock them when she was ready. Transform... He had murdered the rest of my mother's clan right in my presence, and he still had guts to laugh, or even smile. Suddenly, I felt a sting on my insides. "No!" I screamed, falling to the ground. This was not happening. The matchmaking bond had been broken, I was tricked. Transform... It was almost too late to call on my wolf, the Beasty creature had been attacked. "Ai_dan," I muttered, my hands gripping my bowels. "Don't do this." Suddenly, it dawned on me. He had deceived me all this while. He had played with my emotions. He had broken the matchmaking bond connecting the both of us. I should die already, I thought to myself, wishing they caused no more harm to my wolf. Aidan gripped Louve's hand. No way! This wasn't happening. He would never do this to me. "That's my sister, my step-sister!" I screamed at the top of my voice, reminding him just in case he had forgotten. I noticed how tiny her voice had become. Louve would never play such a game with me, taking my rightful place as a mate to Aidan. "She is my mate, my Luna to be!" Aidan thundered, his gaze fixed on me. "Louve," I called, smiling in pain. "Did you know about this?" I wanted a 'no' as an answer. But the smile on her face said otherwise. "Aidan!" I called again in pain, gripping my bowels tighter. "Don't do this," I muttered, trying my best to catch my breath. "I never loved you, Aella," he confessed, letting go of Louve's hand for the moment. "You..." "I never did," he said, cutting me short. "I never did_" his words resounded in my head, my hormones vibrating. Ohh, if I could lay just my hands on Aidan, I would tear him to pieces and feast on his heart. Transform... I was trying. The broken bond had a big effect on my wolf, leaving me on the floor. My clan was the strongest in the whole of the East, eliminating the whole of my mother's clan was one way to get rid of the strongest amongst them. They would be powerless without my mother's clan. My Father, Jordan, was a coward compared to how strong I am. This is too real to be true. I looked at Jordan who was transfixed to a spot, unmoving. "Say something!" I screamed at him. "Have you gone dumb, Father?" He said nothing to me, to anyone. My stepmother was silent as he was, her eyes mopping at the ground. "If there was something I ever wanted..." Aidan continued. "...It was the Alpha's position." "I..." "Shut up!" Aidan commanded. It was less than an hour since he became Alpha of the Night Howler's Pack and he displayed authority to me already, his benefactor! "You're an ingrate," I muttered under my breath. "I know," I heard him say in response. Someone struck me! My face had a mark, suddenly, Aidan had ordered a witch from his clan to give a mark on my face. "Father!" I cried, gripping my bowels even more. "Father!" Aidan laughed. "Father?" The witch struck again, tampering with my wolf. "Ahhh!" I screamed again. The wolf in me was dying. I was dying too. "Don't do this to me," I pleaded, regretting calling for death in the first place. "Father?" I called again, looking at Jordan who had refused to say anything to me. "I didn't just betray you, Aella," it was Louve's voice. "Jordan did, too." This has to be a joke, I cried from my insides. "Father, "I muttered slowly, moving on the ground where I laid. "Tell me it's not true." "It is!" Aidan screamed with excitement. "Killing you was his suggestion, you know?" Jordan said nothing, his gaze unmoving from where it was. "I'm sorry." "Well," Aidan said, holding Louve's hand. "Killing the whole of your mother's clan was Jordan's suggestion, too." "Fast_" "He proposed the execution of the whole of your mother's clan..." "Stop!" I screamed. This was enough news in less than 30 minutes. Aidan was adding more salt to the injury. "I'm sorry," was all Jordan could say. "Your mother's clan was becoming a threat to us." "We are the strongest!" I screamed at the top of my voice, although it sounded tinier than the previous one. "We know that." "You need us!" I screamed again. "Not anymore." "You_!" "The only person meant for you was Logan, not Aidan." It was Louve's voice. "Killing the whole of your mother's clan was the deal, nothing more." "Louve_" "Aidan and I are mates," Louve said, cutting my statement short. "You were too blind to see for yourself." I looked at Aidan_ "Is she telling the truth?" I asked. "Tell me she's lying." "I'm afraid it's the truth, dear Aella," Aidan said. "My mate would never tell a lie, would she?" How weak I had become. My wolf was crying from my insides. "I..." I cried, standing to my feet, staggering. "...hate you!" I screamed with my last strength, running to meet him. I staggered. Tearing him to bits in pieces would satisfy me, I would come back for Louve after having Aidan's heart to myself. "Ahhhhh!" I screamed, rushing to meet him with my last strength. It was too late, I fell back to the floor, gripping my bowels even more. If only I listened to the voice screaming at me to transform, I would emerge as the winner. I would kill them all, having their hearts to myself as well as the powers they possessed. "I hate you," I muttered again, saying my words in a split second. "I hate you." Aidan chuckled. He raised his right hand in the air, signaling to the witch to resume her duty. And the white woman who was the head of witches in the pack resumed her duty of torturing me to my early death. Louve drew close, using her powers on me. I would always retaliate if I was in a normal state. My wolf was almost dead. I was helpless. Jordan nodded his head in approval, smiling innocently. The same smile he used in luring my mother to bed, the same smile he used as a weapon of strength. I screamed in agony and pain, watching the same people I called 'family' nod their heads in satisfaction. I would return to haunt them again, this was not the end. I told myself. "I shall come back," I muttered under my breath, listening to my heartbeat. I was close to my grave. I would come back to avenge the execution of my mother's clan. I would come back to teach these people a lesson they would take to their graves. I closed her eyes, unmoving. I had kissed the earth goodbye, walking into darkness. My wolf had given up on her, kissing me goodbye.
