Scarlet's POV

It is either today or no day, enough is enough I have suffered enough. I am always bullied, I never attend school like my mates do, I was made to do assignments I do not understand and they must pass the assignment, I was made to do the job of 3 to 4 people alone and I never ate a full meal except the leftover of food they ate.

As my name implies ' Scarlet', my body is full of scars due to the torture and beating I passed through in the orphanage home, sometimes I pass out due to lack of food. My life was a living hell but not anymore, I had no one to talk to or a shoulder to cry and lament to, sometimes I wish I was never born.

Leaving the orphanage home is like leaving the place where I grew up but I had to go because I am not ready to be sold to anyone as a commodity. Yesterday when I was about to enter Madam Rose room I overheard her conversation with someone about me because she mentioned my name to the person they both negotiated on the amount and decided on the day he will take me from the orphanage home. I had to leave the entrance of her room before she ( Madam Rose) realises that I have been eavesdropping. I ran to the cold basement called my room and let my tears fall freely, I felt like a commodity that can be sold anytime. What really baffled me was that the way Madam Rose voice was shivering is enough to tell me that the person she is talking to is really scary and can do anything at any time.

I was lost in deep thought and didn't realise that someone was called me until a lot slap landed on my cheek and I jolted back to reality. Madam Rose, I said like a terrible drenched kitten.

Yes am the one, I have a message to pass to you, as from tonight don't do any house chores and wake up as early as possible to dress up there is someone that wants to meet you. Am I understood?

Yes Madam Rose.

I will be going out and will be back by midnight, Madam Rose said.

After a while that I know she must have gone far I got ready to escape from the orphanage home and this is the right moment because madam Rose is not around neither are the bullies. I behaved as if I want to get something and when I realised am out of the building of the orphanage home, I ran as fast as I could. I never knew I could run so fast. I just realised it now when people usually say that ' it is until you are in danger before you could know you can run very fast'. I started hearing voices saying ' catch her, catch her she is escaping'. When I heard those voices I increased my speed and didn't know when I collided with an oncoming car and fell on the road with a great thud.

Hey pretty, are you okay?

That was all I heard before everything became dark in my eyes and I lose consciousness.

Madam Rose POV

I am in big trouble, what do I tell Sir Henry about Scarlet. What have I gotten myself into? According to what I heard about him, a little mistake your head is blown off. Is this how I will die? I shouldn't have left the house for club now see what I have caused for myself. Thank God the gate man quickly called me and informed me about Scarlet leaving the orphanage home to get something outside.

Grin grin, the ringing tune of my phone brought me back to reality, when I checked the caller I saw it is Sir Henry my heart started beating so fast.

Hello master. I said

How are you my daughter. Sir Henry said with a dangerous smirk.

Am fine master, she said while shivering in fear.

How is my Scarlet?

S... She is fine.

Why are you stammering? Did something happen?

Emm... Emm... Scar... Scar... Scarlet has escaped. She said stammering.

How did she escape from the orphanage home? Sir Henry asked calmly with a smirk which means trouble.

I went to the club to catch some fun but the gate man called me and told me that he noticed something suspicious about Scarlet. He said Scarlet told him that she wants to get something outside the orphanage home, that is all he told me.

Oh God where do I start from? Am confused. Scarlet you shouldn't have left, now I am in big trouble. I swear when next I lay my hand on you, I will make it sure I strangle you for putting me into this mess

A brief description of Sir Henry. Sir Henry is the leader of the Black lion cult, his greed for money and power led him to how he his today. He kills human as if he is killing flies, he has no remorse for his action, he is known as Blood lord. No human have ever survived the blood lord bullet, out of the unlucky ones he killed are Scarlet parents. One more thing about him is that his face is hidden he is always on face mask only his voice is known to people.
