Chapter 1 VISIT TO THE COURT ROOM
He was late again, as usual, but I could not get angry with him even if I tried. I never did. While waiting for him, I closed my eyes and meditated, listening to the susurrating, rustling, and calming sounds of the ocean. I was beginning to drift slowly to sleep when I perceived his scent. He had this earthy scent which made one feel closer to nature. It was so intoxicating and made my head feel woozy. Stammering, I tried to sound angry. "Why are you late again?" He said nothing but came closer. When he was about to reach out to me ,I heard a voice, very familiar voice at that
"Princess, wake up! "Mira, my maid called out to me, as I opened my eyes, the first rays of sun lit up my room.
''Your father,The king has demanded you come to The Great Hall in the next two hours", I heard Mira say with a look of shock and worry in her eyes, but I'm not sure I heard her clearly, ''The Great Hall ! '', I asked her again for reassurance feeling excited and confused at the same time.
My Father always warned me against going to The Great Hall but today he was asking for me to be present in THAT VERY HALL, I didn't know how to feel because I was always curious about that particular side of the castle but I was never allowed to explore ,at the same time I was confused and scared because My father said it was where very important meetings were held and it had dark memories which were covered by the walls and ceilings of the Hall.
''Your father also sent clothes and required you look presentable'', hmm that was strange, i guess whatever it was, not only my father would be present.
In less than 30 minutes I was already done with my warm and relaxing bath infused with lavender scent oil,fresh floral jasmine scent and a lot of other flowery scents extracted from the best of gardens that Mira prepared before she woke me. i still had a lot of time before the meeting so i decided to take a walk to the Royal library to get a book to keep myself busy.
Mira is actually my personal maid, she was brought in after the death of My mother. She was more like a friend than a maid to me, as she was just 18 years old while i was getting to 16 in a short while, she was my best and only friend as i wasn't allowed out of the castle.
