Chapter 1 Unspoken Emotions

Several sunlit days had passed since the dawn of a new chapter. Brielle found herself strolling leisurely along the new expanse of the pristine hallway, with the weight of her emotions bearing down on her like a delicate feather in a gusty wind. Each step she took was accompanied by a symphony of thoughts, a delicate dance of contemplation, as she pondered the various ways in which she would unburden her heart and reveal the depths of her feelings to the person who held the key to her heart as she had already grown tired, keeping everything to herself.

"How do I get a chance to tell him? Should I invite him on a date, or confess my feelings loudly and clearly in front of everyone?" "No. That's such a dumb thing to do. I'm Gabrielle Rodriguez. " she shook her head

As she found herself immersed in the

chaotic surroundings, she delved deep into the tangle that has been caused in her thoughts, tirelessly concocting countless strategies to unveil the valuable information that resided within her mind, unfazed by the cacophony that enveloped her being. Lost in the ethereal realm of her thoughts, Brielle remained oblivious to the enchanting coincidence that had recently unfolded.

Unbeknownst to her consciousness, she had traversed the very path that her heart's desires had longed to tread upon. For mere seconds ago, unbeknownst to her unsuspecting senses, she had crossed paths with her beloved crush, her guardian of chivalry, a radiant prince whose armor shimmered with an aura of valiance and grace. Oh, the fates played their whimsical games, concealing from her sight the serenade of destiny that had transpired right beside her beating heart, lost amidst the winding corridors of her thoughts. She persisted onward, fueled by an unwavering determination, until she sensed a gentle tap upon her shoulder, as if the universe itself had reached out to offer a comforting embrace. She turned around, curious to catch a glimpse of the intruder who had disrupted her thoughts, her eyes eager to unravel the mystery of the unexpected disturbance, only to find herself face-to-face with a captivating presence positioned just a breath away, gazing upon her with an air of elegance and intrigue. Her gaze remained fixed on him, as she let her imagination embroider their love story into the whimsical fairy tale of their own.

"Brielle," he whispered her name with a tenderness that seemed predestined, fitting his lips flawlessly, like a melody crafted exclusively for his voice. She gathered her composure and blended seamlessly into her surroundings as if the extraordinary had never unfolded, returning to her ordinary state as if it were a mere illusion.

"You called? Excuse me I didn't mean to ignore you on purpose "

"Don't worry, " he said, emitting a radiant smile. "I just wanted to know if your schedule will be open this Saturday " he asked softly

"A minute " she signaled with a hand mid air, with a subtle touch, she unlocked her phone and assumed the guise of scanning her schedule. Concealing her yearnings beneath the composed facade, she suppressed the urge to release her hidden emotions that yearned to burst forth from the depths of her heart.

"Yes. I guess I will be free. Why do you ask?"

"I just want to tell you something but not here. I would like us to eat out tomorrow and in the process, I will tell you " nervously, he said, his voice trembling and his sweaty palm betraying his anxious state. The weight of increasing unease manifested in him, growing larger with every passing second.

"Like a date?" She asked. "If that's how you will phrase it" he couldn't help but let out a brief chuckle, its sound dancing through the air like a melodious tune that delighted her senses.

"Do you mind sharing your contact information then?" Eagerly, he extended his phone as if reaching for a ray of hope, longing for a favorable response. Brielle reluctantly accepted the device, entering her own number before softly surrendering it back. With joy, Lucas accepted it and flashed a subtle grin. He playfully winked at her, then swiftly raced away as the sound of the siren urged the students to move to their various lecture halls for the last lesson for the day. Filled with excitement, Brielle hurriedly dashed off, her eagerness driving her to share every precious detail of the incident with her best friend.

Lucas Walker is the star of the basketball team at Hudson Business Institution, admired by many for his good looks. Girls, Brielle included, couldn't help but swoon over him. His tall, muscular frame and captivating appearance made him seem almost heavenly. On top of that, he came from a wealthy and prestigious family that adds to his charm and reputation.

"Girl you won't believe what just happened " Brielle said as she dropped her things to sit beside her friend.

"What?" she turned to her sides looking at the excited Brielle beside her. "Wait let me guess what happened " she stopped Brielle mid sentence.

"Continue I'm bad at guessing " she said dropping her shoulders. Brielle rolled her eyes laughing at her.

"Lucas asked me out" Brielle blurted out grinning at her friend.

"What?! Really?" she exclaimed letting out a scream.

"Girl if you don't lower your voice" she sprung up covering her friends mouth from producing more noise. "People are looking at us" she said looking around

"F*ck them. Back to what you were saying. Did he really do that?"

"Yes..." Brielle explained everything to her leaving no detail out.

"Aiissh..Brielle you're so lucky " she grinned widely while shaking her friend's shoulders

Minutes later, their conversation was interrupted by the lecturer who just walked in.

"We'll continue this after class " Brielle said and they adjusted themselves well to face the lecturer.

Brielle trudge wearily up the stairs, her steps slow and feeble. The busy day had left her completely exhausted, with weariness seeping into every fiber of her being. Despite the fatigue, it was a day worth treasuring and etching in her memory forever. She darted to her room and swiftly burrowed beneath her smugly blanket. Right then, memories of her meeting with her prince charming flooded her mind. She blushed covering her face and giggling ,while playfully kicking her feet like a cute little kid.

Minutes later, she was seen sleeping peacefully.

Late at night, when everyone was fast asleep, Brielle quietly tiptoed across the room to fetch a glass of water because her room was all out of it.

"Why would you do that?! Don't you ever get tired of messing with me?!"

Brielle heard noises as she cautiously ventured closer, the piercing screams reverberated through her ears, intensifying with each deliberate step she took. The familiar sound of her parents' heated arguments echoed through the air, filling her with trepidation and sadness.

With trembling legs, she pressed forward, determined to confront the source of the commotion.

Standing in the hallway, she discreetly positioned herself behind the door, eavesdropping on their impassioned conversation. The weight of the situation became unbearable for Brielle. It has always been like this. There have never been a day with a loving conversation from them. She never gets used to it. Overwhelmed by the emotional turmoil, she involuntarily retreated, her entire body trembling uncontrollably causing her to drop the glass of water she was holding. Gasping for air, her breath grew shallow and rapid, threatening to escape her gasp. Finally, unable to bear the weight any longer, she collapsed to her knees, clutching her chest as if trying to hold herself together amidst the chaos.

"No, this absolutely cannot be happening!" She exclaimed under her breath.

As the world around her began to blur into a hazy mess, a cascade of tears welled up in her eyes, streaming down her cheeks like a river of sorrow. In that moment, she felt herself drifting away from reality, her mind slipping into a distant realm of detachment.

"Brielle! Brielle!!"
