Leslie Jordan, a loner and sadist. She never lived the life she wanted not with her nagging mom, uncaring dad and a sister that doesn't like her a bit. Leslie became a shadow of her self, no one associates with her, no friends at school and home. She grew to talk to the moon about her worries and struggles. What happens when she started having strange changes and has to find out who she really is and where she really belongs? Will she be accepted or learn to accept her faith? Who would clear off her fate of being a misfit?
"Leslie!!! Go, put out the trash you lazy ass" Mrs. Jordan yelled and Leslie ran out. They're the only ones at home, it's a normal routine for Leslie to leave the house late and still have to go on foot.
She threw the trash into the trash van and sighed.
"Another loss mark today" She heaved, she gets a loss mark whenever she missing any lecture and it was obvious she wouldn't meet up.
"Leslie!!!!!" Mrs. Jordan shouted and she rolled her eyes.
"I'm coming ma'am" she mumbled and ran to the living room.
"It took you enternity to put away the trash right?" Mrs. Jordan queried.
"I'm sorry ma'am, I..."
"Whatever, I have no time to spare for your trashed" Mrs. Jordan cut her off harshly and she bit her lips lightly.
"I kept the foods in the freezer, my baby's food the smaller, her dad's the bigger. Ensure to return on time and heat her food in the microwave, am I clear enough " Mrs. Jordan instructed and she nodded.
"Words " Mrs. Jordan shouted and Leslie fidgeted.
"Yea...yes ma'am" she blurted scared and Mrs. Jordan glared at her before letting out a loud hiss of disgust.
"Uhm, sorry... Ma'am. You instructed for only two foods" Leslie said carefully and Mrs. Jordan shrugged.
"I'll eat at work and there are only two humans in this house. The leftover animal can eat what's leftover, are you done?" Mrs. Jordan said cruelly and Leslie's eyes turned watery.
"Yes" she simply said shaking her head slowly. Mrs. Jordan left and Leslie let the tears fall. When she heard the car sound fading, she grabbed her bag and left locking the door behind.
Leslie walked along the road as she saw different people with different lifestyles, she has her wishlist stucked with things she knows are impossible to happen.
"What if I can actually have power to make my family love me" she giggled at her very own thought. Those were impossible things.
The sound of car horn made her jolt off her thoughts.
"Get the f**k off the road, bi**h"
"Heyyyyyyy" she heard someone scream and next thing she was in the arms of someone, her blood froze and vessels seized, sweat beads filled her forehead and hot blood ran down her spine, she gulped hard and her eyes were wide.
"Are you okay?" The voice of her saviour said and she quickly broke the hold recovering herself. She stared at the road and back at the unusual saviour. Her eyes widened for a sec, she has never admitted on a guy all her life but this guy in front of her right now beats her expectations.
Sh blinked and looked away, he had this confusion in his eyes that she doesn't understand, he kept trying to get an eye contact with her which made her uncomfortable.
"Are you hurt?" He asked and she wondered who he was, he wasn't only looking strange, he is totally strange to try talking with her.
"Yes" She replied simply with a blank face, he held her again worriedly.
"Where are you feeling hurt" he said checking her to see if she injured but she shook off his hand.
"I'm fine now" she rolled her eyes and turned to leave. He quickly held her and she felt a light electric-like shock, she thought she was hallucinating her feeling but it happened again and she broke free running immediately.
"At least can I know your name...as your saviour" she was already gone before he could finish, he dipped his fingers in his hair smiling large, grinning from ear to ear.
"Hi handsome" a car stopped and a girl called him from the window, he stared blankly and she winked.
"Ewwww" he squeezed his face in disgust.
"Go get a surgery done, a total face surgery" He mocked and laughed, she embarrassedly shouted at the driver to drive off.
"She's definitely my soulmate" He smiled again thinking about Leslie.
"Alvin!!!, here you are. You got me worried" A girl looking just as strange as him or even more walked up to him.
"Veera, you wouldn't believe who I met and save" Alvin said happily and Veera thought for a while.
"Who's that?" She asked not thinking of anyone possibly.
"My soulmate!!!!" He shouted and she was confused, she arched her brows staring at him like some mental deranged soul.
"What do you mean?" She finally asked and he told her how he saved Leslie. Veera laughed mockingly at him and his smile fell.
"And you think she's a witch?" Veera asked not believing he actually saw her eyes different from the normal humans.
"Of course, she isn't human. He eyes reacted to my eye contact" he tried to defend.
"If she truly is a witch, then why haven't she joined us. You said she was probably our age grade, then I expect she would feel her powers if she was a witch" Veera pointed out but Alvin felt so sure about the sparks he felt.
"But the sages said the special being would reveal his/her power once it's his/her 18th birthday" Alvin said and Veera shook her head.
"If she's our age grade then she's turning 18 soon" Veera said not in the mood to argue more but she prayed solely that whoever she is, she shouldn't turn out a witch cause obviously, Alvin has feelings for her.
"Would you be my spy partner, I want to spy on her till she turns 18" Alvin pleaded and Veera groaned feeling angry.
"We don't know her birthday" she said tiredly and Alvin roughed her hair playfully.
"Fine. Let's go, master's waiting" They said and got to their covered spot, the held hands and vanished.
Leslie threw her worn out bag pack on her lying mat, it was more like a manger than a room. The family stored all their stuffs in the room.
Her mind went to Alvin and she sighed and grabbed her journal note.
*I met a mysterious guy today, he saved me*
She closed the book and dropped it, she left to prepare the food before everyone would arrive.
Leslie and Jodie (Mrs. Jordan's daughter) sat in the dinning table eating, the door opened and Mr Jordan entered.
"Welcome dad" Jodie greeted and Mr Jordan pecked her hair and played the father-daughter play.
"Welcome Sir" His countenance changed immediately he sighted her.
"Why the hell are you eating here on my family dinning table, don't you know it's for the family alone and not some misfit?" He yelled and Leslie found it difficult to gulp the food she was chewing.
"Dad, I tried to tell her but she shunned me off and called me a brat" Jodie lied and Leslie looked up at her.
"We had no such argument Jodie" Leslie said at the brim of tears.
"How dare you yell at my daughter in my presence"Mr Jordan barked and emptied the food on her hair, she whimpered silently heads down as he dragged her and threw her easily on the floor hurting her wrist and palm. Jodie laughed as she slowly stood and walked to her room.
Leslie backed the door in tears and it soacked her face, she slowly bent and buried her face on her knee. She knew she was adopted but she doesn't understand why no one wants her.
She looked up when a ray of moonlight escaped into the room through an opening in the breaking window.
She ran and opened the window, the full rays followed by breeze poured on her face sweeping her long hair backwards giving her the moon goddess appearance.
She felt her eyes different, she turned to a mirror but her eyes were normal. She sighed and looked back at the moon, she closed her eyes and smiled at the moon.
"Good night" She muttered and walked to her sleeping mat.
"Veera, I think Vince has been on a look out for you since noon. You might be in trouble" Natasha said in obvious mockery. The two rivals in the whole academy.
Veera and Vince are twins to Sorceress Ursula ( the greatest witch), Tasha's dad and Ursula were grade mates when she was still a sophomore in witchery.
Veera hates Tasha cause they are match when it comes to power, Tasha wins when it comes to beauty. But Veera wins when it involves physical strength and of all, she hates Tasha being close to Vince.
"Don't bore me with whatever you think you're doing. I don't need it" Veera rolled her eyes and turned to go meet Vince.
" I and Vince kissed, so guess what next. Guess you'd be the looser after all" Tasha laughed and Veera halted on her track.
"Well, at least you'll be amongst the probably 50th girl to taste my brother's lips, it's the most sought after." Veera smiled tauntingly and clicked her tongue.
"Don't say that out loud in front of the girls" Veera said finally and left, Tasha hardened her jaw and bit her lips.
"Veera!!!" She shouted in frustration and left angrily.
Veera entered the house and went to Vince's room. The twins had a different mansion from the students.
She heard water splash sounds and knew he was bathing, she started wandering round his room eating his chips she found on his table.
"Where the hell were you since noon, Veera" Vince said appearing on a towel around his waist. He inhaled her scent from the bathroom the moment she entered.
"I'm fine Vince, just went out for a while. And besides dean Asher asked us to get something" Veera defended falling on his bed.
"Who did you go with?" He asked and she sat up and stared at him.
"I guess you didn't notice Alvin went missing with me, obviously you were occupied with kissing Natasha" Veera said rolling her eyes.
"Don't roll at me "he yelled and she spranged up annoid.
"Then pluck em off" She rolled it again and crossed her hands under her breast.
"Leave" he said coldly and she smirked and walked to the door, she turned to him.
" Get dressed, you're visiting mom soon, she's so hearing about how you're busy making out with Tasha" Veera said bluntly and shut the door.
"Who stucked that in her head that I kissed Tasha?" He muttered and wore his clothes.
"Such strong headed sister" he chuckled softly and left the room.
