Chapter 1 Wedding bells

Prologue

Amora's POV:

"I hear that Kelvin is responsible for your pregnancy Aurora," I said, looking at my twin sister with so much sadness and pain in my chest.

"True. He is the father."

I closed my eyes, bit my lips and I couldn't stop the tears from falling.

"Why are you crying?"

"Aurora you don't have to do this. You don't have to be this way. We don't have to be like this. Please"

"What the hell do you mean? You should be happy that your twin sister is pregnant and is about to become your sister-in-law. That's newsworthy isn't it?" she said smiling and rubbing her belly.

"You and I know the truth. Why are you acting oblivious?"

"What truth? What are you talking about?"

"That you got pregnant for Kelvin, not because you love him, but only because you want to gain access into the Eagle family to hurt Stephen and I."

"Oh my God, the things you believe in your head sister."

"Two months ago, I got married to Stephen and you legit even kidnapped me just to stop the wedding from happening because you love Stephen. And now, in a matter of two months, you have miraculously moved on and even gotten pregnant for his cousin! Aurora can't you see that you are ruining your life."

"The only life that I will ruin is the life of those people who hurt me Amora!" she said, moving closer and closer towards me.

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned," Aurora concluded looking into my eyes with so much hate and anger.

I wiped my tears and tried to hold my twin sister's hands. I don't know the last time we held each other in a warm embrace. It now seemed to be ages ago and lost forever.

Aurora pulled her hand away, even before I could touch it, and went to sit on one of the couches in her apartment.

I went on my knees and begged my twin.

"Aurora, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, in every way that I have hurt you. Please forgive me. Please! We can move on from this. You can heal..."

"I'm already healed sis. What do you mean?" she said laughing slightly.

Just then the doorbell rang and Aurora asked the visitor to enter. It was my husband Stephen.

"Stephen," I said softly.

He looked at me and my sister Aurora came to pick me up from the floor.

"Let us go. It's pointless right now. Let her be. Let's go," he said softly to me.

I looked into his eyes, looked at my twin sister, and nodded my head in approval. Aurora claimed to have healed, to have moved on, but I know her so, so well to know that she still hates me for marrying Stephen and despises Stephen for choosing me over her. She hadn't said a word, since Stephen came in. Stephen didn't even want to talk to her. He hadn't forgiven her for all the shenanigans she pulled during our wedding and it had taken a great deal of begging before he allowed me to come here. He was waiting in the car for me for a long time before he came in.

"Think about it Aurora. Our lives don't have to be so miserable. I love you my dear twin sister and I miss you. Goodbye."

"Shut the door once you leave," Aurora said, without looking at us, and walked into her room.

As Stephen and I entered his black Benz, I couldn't hold myself any longer and I started crying even harder. Stephen held me and soothed me. As I cried, my eyes fell on the wedding invitation card lying in the car and I began to go down memory lane. It all started from there. It started with a wedding.

Wedding Bells

Amora's POV:

"Yes girl, so much hotness in one person," Anna, a lady I met today at the wedding praised me as we took pictures of each other.

I was attending the wedding ceremony of Mr. Arc Haman. I didn't know who Arc was nor did I know his wife. Actually, I was here representing a guest who couldn't make it. Yes, Mrs. Koko asked me to represent her at the wedding as her schedule was very tight to attend. She had sent me a gift to give the newlyweds two days ago.

As Anna and I continued having our fun, taking pictures for the gram, suddenly there was a commotion, a noise or should I say a loud cheer. I turned to see what was going on and realized that a very important guest had arrived. I believed so because of how a lot of people in the reception hall couldn't compose themselves as he walked in. Especially the ladies.

I kept looking until I got a good view of the incoming guest. My God, how can one man be so handsome and sexy? Damn it!

"Stephen Eagles!!!" Anna who was beside me screamed.

I believe that I didn't imagine it. This man Stephen, whoever, definitely winked at me when our eyes locked. From where I sat I couldn't stop staring at him, he wore a blue tuxedo suit that outlined his sexy form. He completed the look with a pair of white Jordans.

I felt embarrassed by how I couldn't stop staring at him and at the dirty thoughts forming in my head right now about both of us. Thrice, we locked eyes again and he smiled.

Well, the MC brought me back to myself. "It's time to hit the dance floor you all."

Stephen's POV:

As much as I didn't want to attend my friend's wedding late, it was unavoidable. Being an Eagle Blood, a CEO of a multi-million dollar plastics company, and an authority in the Eagle dynasty, I'm busy 247.

The lady in a red gown caught my attention. Unlike other ladies who were screaming and falling on one another as I walked in, she didn't scream. If she did, then I must have missed it.

But she kept staring at me.

All the times I had looked in her direction, she was staring at me. I didn't find it creepy though. I thought it was bold and even funny. She looked very beautiful facially and her red dress was attention-grabbing. I'll definitely get to know who she is.

Oh, it's time to dance? Perfect!

Amora's POV:

As I was dancing with Anna on the dance floor, he approached us. Yes, he did. I couldn't believe it. When I saw him coming, I looked behind me to see if there was a rich chick of his caliber behind Anna and me but all the girls I saw looked pretty much similar to me.

When he stood in front of us, keeping his eyes on me, I knew he meant business.

"Hello ladies"

"Hello," I replied.

"Stephen Eagles!!! You are so handsome. Oh my God. I can't breathe."

"Please breathe. Don't die on me," he said laughing.

I loved his sense of humor.

"Can I get a picture? One please."

"Sure."

Anna quickly positioned herself and click! She took the picture.

"Hi, I'm Stephen. And you are?" he said as he transferred all his attention to me.

"I'm Amora."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Amora."

"Same here Stephen."

He kind of looked surprised at my reply and I didn't know why.

"Can I dance with you? If you don't mind."

"Uhmm, I was dancing with..." I said looking at Anna who was still there with us.

"Sure girl. Go ahead," Anna said urging me on.

"Yes Stephen"

"Thank you," he said as he took my hand in his and moved to another corner of the dance floor. I could feel a hundred eyes looking at me and probably wondering who the hell I was to be dancing with their Stephen.

"You have a very beautiful name. Amora means love."

"Yes. Thank you." I said looking once again around me to see people looking at us. Worse, some people were recording, some subtle about it. The others, very obvious with their recording and annoying smile.

"Sorry about the cameras."

"No problem. You must be really popular huh?"

He chuckled. I loved his smell, his fragrance. He smelt like fresh sweet wine. His black, diamond-encrusted Rolex watch held my attention for some seconds. I was checking him out and I couldn't help it.

"So, tell me a little bit more about yourself Amora."

"Hmmm. You may never see me again after today."

"Why?"

"I'll be going home to the UK tomorrow morning. I don't live here you know."

"Oh," he said, his face slightly falling as I said that I didn't live here.

"You are very beautiful. And sexy," he said whispering into my ears.

"I'm checking you out. You are sexier. My God!" I said winking at him.

"Oh-huh Do you want to find out how sexy I am?"

I knew it. I wasn't imagining things. Both of us were hot for each other.

"Yes, please," I said bending my head, pretending to be shy.

"Then don't leave. Wait for me after the wedding is over. I'll come get you."

"Okay, Stephen. I'll be waiting," I replied in a sexy voice.
