Amelia Hart was never ordinary, far from it. She was born into privilege, the heir to a vast fortune and a legacy that could have given her everything she wanted. But a single decision shattered that future. Amelia's marriage to Damian, a man her father despised, was enough to strip her of the inheritance she was destined to claim. Cut off from the wealth and power that should have been hers, she found herself in a life she never expected-one of quiet struggle and painful pride. When an antique bell is unexpectedly gifted to her, Amelia has no idea that this seemingly insignificant trinket will be the catalyst that changes everything. A single ring of the bell sets in motion a series of events that will awaken desires she never knew she had, and pull her into a world of mystery and danger that threatens to undo everything she thought she knew about love, power, and herself. The bell doesn't summon the man of her dreams-it calls forth Selene, a woman cloaked in mystery, beauty, and power. Ravishing, enigmatic, and bound by an ancient curse, Selene is forbidden to stay in Amelia's world, yet the attraction between them is undeniable. Every time the bell rings, Amelia is drawn deeper into Selene's orbit, where the chemistry between them is electric, dangerous, and impossible to ignore. Selene, however, is not just a lover. She is part of something much darker-something tied to the bell itself. A force so strong it could pull them both into a world of forbidden passion, indulgence, and secrets. Under Selene's guidance, Amelia is led into a world of raw desire and indulgence-one where boundaries are blurred, and where every moment spent with Selene leaves her questioning everything about herself. Her quiet, controlled life is replaced by a frenzy of longing and lust she can't escape. But the bell's power comes with consequences. The forces tied to it are older than Amelia could imagine, and others are watching, others who want the bell's power for themselves. The world Amelia thought she knew-one of privilege and status-is crumbling beneath her feet, replaced by one she could never have expected. As her bond with Selene deepens, Amelia is forced to confront a devastating truth: the curse surrounding Selene could tear them apart forever. Amelia is torn between her past and the passionate, dangerous future Selene represents. Her connection to Selene is undeniable, but it's also perilous. Amelia has always struggled with her identity, living under the shadow of her father's disapproval and the rejection of her inheritance. She has never truly known what it means to be free-to live for herself and not for the expectations of others. Her marriage to Damian had once been her escape from the constraints of her family's control, but it ended in betrayal. Damian, unable to accept Amelia's decision to marry him over the wealth and status her father wanted her to secure, left her for another woman. A woman who embodied everything Amelia had never been-wealthy, poised, and accepted into the circles of power that Amelia had been denied. Damian's rejection had crushed her self-esteem and left her questioning her worth. But the bell-the bell has changed everything. Each time Amelia rings it, she's pulled deeper into a world that challenges her understanding of love, desire, and freedom. The force between her and Selene is undeniable, magnetic, and raw. And yet, with every new encounter, Amelia realizes how dangerous this path truly is. The bell's power is more than just a conduit for passion-it's a harbinger of something far darker, something that threatens to consume them both. As Amelia falls deeper into this forbidden world, she must face a painful choice. Her growing feelings for Selene are real-more real than anything she's ever felt before. But they come with risks she's not sure she's willing to take. If she continues to summon Selene, she'll be calling not just her into her life, but the forces of darkness tied to the bell's ancient power. With every ring, Amelia risks more than just her safety-she risks losing everything she once held dear. Amelia must confront the painful truth that her past-the man who betrayed her, the inheritance she was denied, the life she had tried to escape-has led her to this moment. She must choose whether to fight for the love she never expected with Selene or to return to the life of wealth and status she was always meant to have. Can she embrace the freedom and passion that Selene offers, or will the darkness surrounding the bell consume them both? The bell's power is growing stronger, and the consequences of its chimes are becoming impossible to ignore. Amelia's heart is torn between her past-her family, her ex-husband, the life she thought she wanted-and the raw, untamed love she has found with Selene. The final chime of the bell will be the one that determines everything. Will Amelia risk it all to follow her heart and claim a love with no rules, no boundaries
'' This is why I hate you, you never do anything right,''
Damian screamed at the top of his voice, with anger, as he glared at Amelia angrily, his veins popping out on his neck and forehead. Amelia is his happily wedded wife of over four years.
Amelia was forced to marry Damian under duress. Damian's family had heard Amelia was a rich heiress to the Robt family. They wanted a piece of the cake, not just a piece, the Rolland Family wanted all, but they never knew there was a clause to Amelia inheriting the wealth of the Roberts family.
'' Listen I have told you to sign the divorce paper and you are still delaying? Are you not tired of the hurt, pain, and torture I serve you on a platter of mouse plates full of disdain and hate daily? Damian was tired of Amelia refusal to sign the divorce paper.
He needed to move on to his next victim, realizing he and his family were unable to get the wealth they so desired to get from Amelia.
'' I hate you '' he yelled as he threw the divorce paper on Amelia's dressing table for the fifth time, and stormed out of the guest room that had become Amelia's room for over two years and counting.
Amelia glanced at the divorce papers on her dressing table, shook her head, and went to take her shower. When she was done, she admired herself in the mirror, making sure she was okay, and stepped out of her room. Just then she heard a very familiar voice call out her name.
''Am... Amelia, the person stuttered. It was the voice of Daisy, Damian's younger sister.
Amelia paused on her steps without turning around, she recognized the voice and knew what Daisy was about to say
'' Amelia, don't you get tired of this humiliation? Do you enjoy all the insults you get from Damian all the time?
She hurriedly walked and stood in front of Amelia who was only two months older than Daisy, Daisy looked elegant in her long white dress, her hair packed into a ponytail, and with large bright eyes, she stared at Amelia with the pretense of feeling Amelia's pain and hurt.
Listening to the tone of Daisy one would think she was strongly against her brother's behavior, but it wasn't the case. She fueled every fight Damian and Amelia had, she wanted Amelia out because all they thought they could gain from Amelia was never achieved.
'' Amelia if I were you, I would move out and sign the divorce papers,''
Her voice was soft, alluring, and convincing. However, Amelia had already seen Daisy's deceit years ago when she mistakenly overheard Daisy telling Damian to marry some other girl who is also rumored to be rich since Amelia wasn't what they assumed her to be.
'' Daisy I have somewhere to be right now, we will talk about this when I return''
Without waiting for Daisy to speak, Amelia walked out of the house gracefully. She felt choked up in that filthy room where she had been staying for over two years. Two years of torture, anger, pain, frustration, hatred, and spite.
The taxi driver was quietly parked in front of Damian's house after informing Amelia of his arrival.
Amelia sat in the back seat of the taxi car, as the driver slowly drove away she saw Daisy on the balcony watching the taxi drive away as she spoke into her phone.
For Amelia, it was a common site. She was used to Daisy acting as the spy for her brother.
Ma'am, we have arrived at your destination, the voice of the taxi driver disrupted Amelia's thoughts.
'' Here's your money,'' Amelia handed him a bundle of cash, as she alighted from the car.
''Ma'am, this is more than we bargained for, the taxi driver said reaching out to return the money to Amelia after taking out his exact money
Without looking back, she yelled as she hurried into the coffee shop
'' Keep the change, it's your lucky day,'' her face filled with a gentle smile.
He stared at her back till she disappeared from his view, surprised at how money was nothing to her.
Counting the money in his hand, it was three thousand dollars extra. Was he dreaming? It would take him four days to make so much money. Yet Amelia gave it out like it was nothing, without counting the money.
''Thank you he silently murmured to himself as he started the car and drove off into the distance., praying to get more clients like Amelia as he whistled
The coffee shop was located in a very quiet area, called the Q Zone, an exclusive coffee shop only for the extremely rich. If Damian saw Amelia walking into this shop, he would be very surprised. The cheapest membership card was acquired with fifty million dollars, that is the bronze membership card.
In Amelia's hand was the exclusive VVIP card, also known as the premium platinum card. It cost three billion dollars.
After settling in a private room for only her, Amelia took out her phone and dialed her Dad.
The phone rang and immediately got connected.
'' Amelia, I'm in the middle of a meeting, can I call you back? Since you have refused to leave that ingrate of a man, I have told you never to bother me''
''Dad, I'm done! I want to move back home.
Phillip Hart was silent for a while, thinking he was hearing wrongly.
'' What did you say? he asked
'' Dad, I'm done for real, I've thought hard enough, and I want out of the marriage.''
On the other end of the call, Amelia could hear her Dad exhale deeply '' Okay hold on for just a few minutes'' he replied to her while announcing,
'' The meeting is over for today, let's move it to next week, I need to handle an important thing''
Phillip Hart was a wealthy heir who rose from grace to grace from his hard work. He was a very crude businessman who saw opportunities in everything he did. However, he never relied on the wealth of his mother who inherited so much from her late parents.
His father died when Phillip was just 8 years old, as the only child he refused to stay and rely on the wealth of his mum. He left home at the age of 19 after graduating from the university, and after that, he made a name for himself in both the business and corporate world by struggling hard to earn every penny he had to his name.
'' Amelia, are you still there?'' Phillip's voice came through the phone
''Yes Dad, I'm here.
Amelia, felt the warmth of her Dad return to her, he had strongly been against her and Damian's marriage for a long time and had cut her off from her inheritance to test Damian.
If Damian can stay married to you for the next five years, I will hand over everything I own to you and Damian.''
She recalled her Dad's words just before the wedding, which she had gone ahead to do without his consent or blessings.
'' Okay where are you right now? he asked, '' At the coffee shop Dad.
'' Okay, I will be there in a jiffy, just hold on.
Soon, in less than an hour, Phillip walked into the private room where Amelia was seated, he looked at his daughter, unsure of, if what she said on the phone was true, he doubted her because she had said this to him a year after her marriage to Damian but she went back on her words.
Now he wasn't sure if she was for real or not. Dressed in a very simple casual outfit, blue jeans, and white t-shirt, and white sneakers, Phillip looked like he was in his mid-thirties.
He stood at the door for a few seconds, watching his daughter sip on her water and quietly waiting for him.
'' Hey baby, Dad is here,'' he approached Amelia with his hands wide open for a hug, hearing her Dad's voice, she stood up and fell into the arms of the one man who gave her comfort right from birth, her Dad! Phillip Robert.
They both sat facing each other '' Did I hear you well, or are you playing tricks on me again?
'' Dad, I'm sorry about the last time, I know it was unacceptable, but I thought he loved me and was just under the pressure of his parents, but...
'' But what? I want to understand why the change of heart after almost four years. It's almost to the deadline I gave you, so why the sudden change baby?
Amelia smiled, it's been ages since her Dad called her baby, Ever since she married Damian, Phillip stopped addressing her as a baby and never showed her love or concern.
'' Dad, Amelia tried to hold back her tears, it all came down, pouring out like a shower. The clouds of her heart were full, and they needed to be released through her tears. She could barely speak without sobbing.
Phillip was deeply hurt watching his precious delicate daughter he had raised with love and affection reduced to so much pain. Amelia's after her mum ran away with another man years ago. Looking at his daughter weep profusely!
The Amelia he knew never backed down or cried for anyone but today he saw his baby girl weep, he knew she was done and dusted.
After consoling her for a while, Amelia got herself together and told Phillip all that had happened. Quite upset, Phillip asked.
'' Where is the divorce paper?
'' At home.''
'' Go back and sign it! This may hurt but you deserve better''
Watching Amelia in this vulnerable state Phillip wasn't so sure how she would pull through this period, should he help her to continue living in pain by just giving her the inheritance so Damian would be with her?
Or pull her out forcefully? However, Phillip understood that only Amelia could do this herself. Love should never be forced or bought.
The papers sat between them, heavy and cold. Amelia stared at the bold, sterile words of the divorce agreement, but her fingers refused to touch them. Across the table, Damian's eyes were fixed on her, impassive, but the tension was thick in the air.
"Sign it, Amelia," Damian said, his voice low and unyielding. "This is over, I can't do this anymore."
She swallowed hard, and took a deep breath, her throat tight. "Is that really what you want? Just like that?" Her fingers twitched, but she didn't reach for the pen.
"Yes," he replied, leaning back in his chair, his arms crossed. "I didn't marry you for your bloodline, Amelia. I married you because I thought you were someone else and you were pregnant then, unfortunately, you lost the baby and now there is nothing between us. But I was also wrong."
"Someone else?" She finally looked up, meeting his eyes. "What do you mean?"
"You're not the woman I thought you were. When I married you, I thought you had something, something real. Not just your family's name, but wealth too."
Amelia's heart tightened at the word "wealth." "And now that I don't have that anymore, you don't want me?" she asked, voice trembling with the weight of the truth.
Damian's gaze flickered for a moment, then hardened again. "It's not just that. You changed, Amelia. You became someone I couldn't recognize. You... you lost yourself." his heart filled with guilt but the reality remained he had to divorce her.
Damian had his eyes on another wealthy younger girl.
"Maybe I was never the woman you wanted me to be," she shot back, her voice sharp. "Maybe I was always just your accessory 'heiress' you could show off, the one who could give you a comfortable status and life."
Damian's jaw clenched.
"I didn't want an accessory. I wanted a partner. Someone who could stand by my side, not hide behind her family's shadow." he paused, looking at her directly, as for the status, yeah! But the actual wealth? You brought nothing to the table.
She flinched. "You think I wanted to hide behind anyone? My father cut me off, Damian. Everything I thought I was supposed to be, everything I thought you wanted, was gone. I was left with nothing. We were left with nothing."
"And you gave up," he said, his voice icy. "You could've fought for us. But you gave up when the money was gone. Why couldn't you talk some sense into your Dad? It's been almost five years and I have nothing to show for it, come to think of it, I feel your Da has no money he is riding on the past glory of your family name, Damian spat in anger"
"You're right," Amelia whispered, her voice catching. "I couldn't fight for us anymore. Not when you stopped fighting for me." Amelia was now seeing the real Damian '' You are the man, why rely on my family's wealth in the first place?
The silence between them stretched, both of them stuck in the memory of what they had once been. What they could have been.
Damian pushed the papers toward her, his eyes cold now, no trace of the man she once loved in them. "Sign it, Amelia. It's over."
She stared at the papers again, feeling the weight of every word in front of her. But when she reached for the pen, her hand trembled.
"You're truly done with me?" she whispered, barely able to hear her own voice.
He didn't flinch. "Yes."
She took the pen. It was all she had left to give him. The finality of it cut deep, but she signed the paper anyway.
"Goodbye, Damian," she said, her voice thick, but resolute. She set the pen down with a soft click.
Damian didn't say anything. He didn't need to. He'd already left her long before the papers were signed.
Amelia stood up, her heart heavy but strangely lighter than it had been in years. She didn't look back as she walked back to her room. Taking just the black bag her Dad got for her with her credit cards, knowing that the life she had once dreamed of was now just a chapter in the past.
Amelia walked outside; a black Rolls-Royce was already parked waiting for her.
Damian was surprised to watch her leave without taking anything, she left all her belongings behind.
Here you can have this cheque of two million dollars, it's all I can afford to give you, Damian tried to be nice.
''You need that money more Damian, it was never about the money for me Amelia replied. Butler Hart opened the car door for her as he lowered his head.
Young Mistress, welcome back.
Amelia nodded and got in the car.
The car drove away into the distance, till reality hit Damian Amelia was truly gone, divorced from him. He took a deep breath, turned, and walked back straight to her room.
He met Daisy standing in Amelia's room by the window, obvious she had seen Amelia living.
She left her things as an excuse to return, she asked, fuming.
Not this time, she is gone for real. She signed the divorce paper!
Daisy looked surprised but happy. '' Look, she pointed at Amelia's jewelry box..'' Is she leaving all these behind?'' It was a glance from Damian, but his gaze fell on a pink diary under the jewelry box. He took the diary, ignoring Daisy's words, and walked back into his room, shutting the door gently behind him.
