CHAPTER ONE

Alpha Ralph's POV

"We need to work on a better plan, the rogues keep attacking our borders seems they have forgotten how powerful our Alpha is, chief Brian what do you say we set a trap for them, teach them a little lesson to jug their memory". Beta Andy says in the meeting held briefly by Alpha Ralph in his office.

Chief Brian who has a serious face on with little to no wrinkles showing how he is slowly aging handsomely turns to look at beta Andy "That could work but I think it would be reckless to do that without proper information on our soon-to-be prey". He says with a smirk.

"Very correct chief, I need you to station our most capable guards at the borders then Andy get your men to do the investigation ASAP". Alpha says as Beta Andy and Chief Brian nod in agreement.

Beta Andy is about to say something when interrupted by the ringing of Alpha's phone, Alpha Ralph looks at his phone, smiles then picks it up.

"We are done here gentlemen," Alpha says to them, as they leave he answers his ringing phone.

"speak..........., alright I will be with you shortly and I sent you a package, put it on for me, you know how much I love the view of your laps, good girl". Alpha cuts the call with a smirk.

I want to overlook the fact that I don't love Elena, I just feel attracted to her and she is not even my mate but I need to do this for the good of my pack.

"Alpha where should I take you?" Miguel asked with a straight face.

"Elly's place" I replied casually getting into the back of the car. I don't know if what I am doing is right but she is the only option right now and the best candidate. If I don't do this it means a tournament of Lunas will be

held by next moon, I can't have women slaughtering their selves just to be my queen and any woman that emerges as winner will be good but dangerous if ca.......

"Alpha we are here" Miguel interrupts my thoughts, I nod and get diwn, I take slow strides to Elly's front porch with hands in my pocket.

"Alpha Ralph good day welcome, please follow me miss Elena....." Elly's maid said hurriedly after opening the door for but I cut her off I hate talks.

"Tell Elly I will be in the waiting room" I walked towards the waiting room instead of following her, I follow no one. I get to the waiting room but get a call from Brian, seems I will have to do this another time I need to leave.

"Alpha my boys heard movements at the border and called for me immediately, at first we thought it was rogues but on getting here we saw a lady almost lifeless, she has been given first aid treatment but I'm

afraid she still needs proper medical care, that's why I called you, what should we do with her?" Chief Brian asked.

"Where is she? No, never mind take her to the medical center for proper treatment I will meet you there once the border is fixed" I said to him, he nodded and left.

I sign, thinking I was going to ask Elena to be my Luna today not because I love her but because I need one, I guess it's not time yet, I search my pant pocket for the ring but can't find it, must have forgotten it at my office, but I never forget hmm, a first for everything I guess.

About an hour now the guards were still fixing the boarders while I supervised, let me take a break, I wonder how Elena is feeling, she must be angry, I will make it up to her.

"Alpha we are done," one of the guards says when did he even get here, why am I feeling lost?

" Alright, everyone back in position and always be on alert," I say as I leave with Miguel, my guard.

One thing I hate is HOSPITALS!!! "Miguel find out which room she is in I will wait in the car" I turn about to return to my car when I hear Brian's voice I turn to see him walking toward us steadily.

"Alpha she has been attended to but Doctor Alex needs to speak with you, he is in his office on the left wing," Brian says.

"I know the way to his office Brian, let's go, Miguel," I say as we leave him behind.

"She is out of danger and unconscious, we ran a few scans and tests the results will soon be out and I think we need to be vigilant because the scars on her body

are from knives, she was also shot twice in the shoulder, who ever tried to kill her may come looking for her," Alex said.

"I understand Alex can I see her now, I have other matters to attend to," I said as we stood up. I was in a hurry to leave, this place brings back a lot of memories and I hate it.

"This way please," Alex said as me and Miguel followed him.

Why do I suddenly feel at peace and what's this smell, like honey mixed with caramel I think I'm crazy.

"We are here" Alex announced while I froze the second I stepped into the room.

"My Mate!!" I whisper surprised, how is this even possible? I walked to the bed slowly, I gasped at seeing her, she had the most beautiful face I had ever seen and her hair color was autumn burn, dark at the

beginning becoming lighter till it was almost orange, her lips cherry red. She is beautiful no doubt but I think she is weak, can't be sure yet until she wakes up.

"Selene we should not have done this, I don't think he will accept her" Diana laments.

"He will, don't worry" Selene replies while Diana rolls her eyes

"Future seer, why did I forget, I think we need to stop interfering and let destiny and faith play the game from now henceforth," Diana said.

"There is no fun in that and they may mess things up humans can be reckless sometimes" Selene replies with a sweet smile.

"Let that be their problem to deal with," Diana says.

"She is special" Selene reminds Diana.

"I know, more reason we shouldn't interfere, SELENE you won't interfere anymore," Diana says sternly.

"Fine, I won't now go away, don't you have things to do?" Selene asks.

"Fine I will leave just don't break your words," Diana says as she leaves and Selene smiles gently. H
