Becka had lived a miserable life all along. She always had to be second best. She was allowed to wear those things her sister had used. When she was 5 she was abducted but came back after 4 years only to meet another girl ever since she had lived as the shadow of her sister. When she clocked nineteen she was married off into a successful family with two sons. The eldest son was a psycho who wasn't mentally stable while the other brother was ruthless and also the sole heir to the family property. While she was being married, she thought she was getting married to the younger brother, not knowing her mum and sister had switched the names of both sisters, so she would marry the older brother and then her sister, the younger brother. She was beaten to death by her psycho husband a year after the marriage but was given a second chance which took her back to two days before the engagement. After seeing what had happened she wiped her eyes and screamed. "I swear I'll make them pay for everything. Everything I had lost, this time I would protect. My fake sister has to pay for everything"

Chapter 1 Rebirth

Becka's eyes snapped open with shock and confusion, was this heaven? She remembered she had felt her soul leaving her body when her husband smashed a flower vase on her head.

She moved slowly, trying to confirm if she was alive, but to her surprise, her body was moving just fine. She looked around slowly finally recognizing her environment. She was in her cramped room that looked more like a store, not like any of the stuff was hers.

She jumped out of bed and rushed out of her room going into the sitting room where her mum and sister sat eating fruits and chatting. They both flinched at the way she ran in.

"Hello, are you sleepwalking again? " Becky half yelled, rolling her big eyes in the process.

Becka kept staring like someone who had just been hit by a truck.

"And why is she looking like a ghost " Her mum yelled.

Becka had to pull herself together. She looked around the room slowly then started walking away from them. She was still lost in thoughts when she bumped into a slave.

"Watch where you're going," The maid said, glaring. She was Becky's maid, that's why she had the guts.

"What is today's date?" Becka asked her.

The maid, Lillian, looked at her phone and said.

"June 3, 2023. Can I go now?"

The date had shocked Becka so much that she just walked to her room without saying another word.

"I got married on the 5th of June 2023; I died on the 7th of October," her head was banging at the thought, but she couldn't tell what was happening.

"How did I get here? What's happening? Who do I ask? What's happening to me? Am I going crazy? Or was I never married? Was it all in my head?"

"Yes, it was all in my head. I never married that must be it." She told herself. She knew that was an obvious lie, but she just needed something to believe, or else she was going to go crazy for real.

At that moment, her mum busted into her room with a dress.

"Get dressed," She said, throwing the clothes to her.

She recognized the dress it belonged to Becky. She had worn the dress for one of her photoshoots, which was very popular.

"I am not going anywhere. I'll just wear them later," She said in her usual calm voice.

"Are you finally mad, or did you take something you shouldn't? How dare you talk back?"

"Am sorry, Mother, I didn't mean to," She bowed her head.

"You better get ready in ten minutes else you'll be locked in your room for the rest of your life." She threatened before walking out of her room and slamming the door behind her.

She sighed before picking up the dress.

"I remember this," She said coming to a halt.

FLASHBACK

"Get dressed," her mum yelled.

After her mum left she got up from her bed and started doing as she was asked. Since the time was too short, she didn't shower or brush her teeth; she just got dressed using her fingers to straighten her rough hair before going out to meet her mum.

As usual, the dress was bigger and longer on her, but she just had to wear it. She took one of her slippers that was quite old.

"Am sure they just want to mock me with it," She said walking out of her room.

When she got to the living room, she was shocked that it wasn't just her parents and sister. They had visitors who stared at her in disgust.

"Is this the crazy daughter?" The woman among the visitors asked pointing at her.

She was about to answer; she wanted to explain that she wasn't mad,. She just wasn't expecting visitors, but as usual, Becky was faster.

"Am sorry ma, my sister has been like this ever since she came back. Am sure you know she was abducted at age five. I apologize on her behalf," she said faking tears.

Becka was shocked but dared not speak.

While the meeting was going on the family kept giving her pitiful looks. She didn't know what the meeting was about because she was ashamed, but each time she looked up, she would catch their son staring at her.

Her mum had noticed that the young man kept staring, so she just sent her away, saying she had to take her drugs.

Later that day she was told she was getting married.

PRESENTLY

How can the same thing be repeating itself?

She asked herself.

The fact that she was back in time was true and not a lie or an illusion.

"But why am I back here? I died so why am I here?" She asked.

"I am still going to die after a year, so I just have to keep it up," She told herself.

She was about to wear the clothes when she remembered how angry the family was the other time seeing her not dressed and how they called her crazy. She dropped the clothes on her desk and rushed to take her bath and wash her hair.

Meanwhile, Becky was sitting with her mum and dad. Her mum was doing most of the talking while Mr Black just smiled and nodded when he needed to.

The family that sat opposite them was the richest, so everyone wanted their favor.

Mr and Mrs Banks weren't people anyone could impress, but since they wanted something from the Black family, they just smiled and laughed even if they weren't feeling the talks.

"When is your daughter coming?" Mrs black asked.

"She should be here soon am sorry that you have to wait for my daughter this long. Please understand with us she isn't really in her right senses," Mrs Black said, faking her expression while Becky hugged her arm, showing support.

Mr Black only stared at the two, then looked away, not saying anything.

Becky's eyes kept drifting to Logan, who just sat with his legs crossed; he wasn't saying anything, just sipping his tea.

The chat was still going on when Becka walked in.

Logan was the first to notice her entry since he wasn't paying attention to the conversation.

Mr Black saw her next he just smiled from the corner of his lips slightly. Mr and Mrs Banks followed his eyes.

Becky choked on her drink when she saw Becka while Mrs black just stared.

FEW MINUTES AGO

Becka was about to go into the living room when she heard her mum saying.

"She should be here soon am sorry that you have to wait for my daughter this long. Please understand with us she isn't really in her right senses,"

Those words had hurt her so much.

"Why am I feeling this way? This isn't the first time she's calling me crazy," the more she tried to tell herself that all this wasn't new the more tears came out of her eyes.

With anger, she walked into Becky's room, took some of her make-up, and started applying it. She had never used it, but she was made to watch Becky's make-up sometimes.

When she was done, she opened Becky's wardrobe, taking on her new clothes, which she was sure she had never worn. She looked around the room when she saw Becky's shoes that matched the clothes she just went for. She stared at her reflection and smiled they would pass out if they saw her like this

She thought.

PRESENTLY

Becky was fuming with anger as she recognized the clothes on Becka.

"Is this your last daughter?" Mr Black asked with a satisfied smile on his face.

"Yes she is," Mr Black answered.

"Good day, Sir, Ma'am. I am sorry I kept you waiting," Becka said with a polite bow.

The couple smiled at her, gesturing her to sit.

"What are you wearing?" Becky whispered the moment Becka sat down.

"Why don't you like it?" Becka asked her voice a bit audible.

"Becka you know that clothes belong to your sister," Mrs Black said with rage but her voice low.

"Am sorry I just thought I'd dress well since we seem to have visitors," Becka said smiling.

Mrs Black and Becky stared at each other, it was as if Becka was possessed.

"Is there a problem?" Mrs Banks asked.

"No... No nothing that should bother you," Mrs Black said with a shaky voice.

Becka didn't know what she was doing. The only thing she wanted was to stand out like Becky so they wouldn't humiliate her, but the shock she saw on their faces made her happy for once in her life. She just wanted to scream in excitement, not anger.

"Was this the feeling they had when they humiliated me?" She thought.

"If this was feeling then I don't blame them but it's my turn"

Becky couldn't focus she kept moving uncomfortably on her chair.

The only thing that changed from back then was the fact that Becka wasn't looking away from Logan. She stared when she found him staring and looked away when he did. Becky tried talking to him to distract him but he only gave her answers like; Yes, No, I guess, Maybe not, Hmmm.

Becka almost laughed at how silly her sister looked, but she tried to keep it in.

"Your names sound so similar," Logan said.

"Yes, I ac....."

"She was taken in when I went missing, she's like another version of me. The special one who wasn't kidnapped," Becka said cutting Becky shut for once.

Logan smiled at Becka slightly but didn't say anything. When he asked the question, he wanted to say, "Your names sound so similar, like you two are competing," But he kept the rest in.
