LYRA'S POV: I was feeling much better in the morning; my splitting headaches were all gone as I prepared to surprise my mate, Kalen. The pregnancy mood swings had really engulfed me lately. Kalen has been working on a project recently, so I wanted to surprise him with an Audi, since he always wants one, especially when I will have my pup. I came to his workspace, but I was told he went out. "Well, we saw him at the next apartment," one pack member said as I was directed to the apartment. The werewolf receptionist said a couple rented the room, and I was determined to know who those couples were. I walked through the hallway, with Kalen's gift in my hands. I placed my ear on the door as I heard moans and sounds of pleasure. I couldn't believe it. "Maybe it's just any random couple," I said, trying to keep my heart from excessive pounding. I dialed Kalen's number as I heard a phone ringing from the room. "Who's that?" A familiar female voice said. "Oh, it's her," another family voice said. I thought of opening the door, but I wasn't still sure it was Kalen. "C'mon, Kalen, faster!" A voice said. Coincidentally, my mate's name is Kalen also. My splitting headaches were coming, and the pack doctor advised me not to stress myself. I was trying my best to remain calm, but my pregnancy wasn't helping right now. "When are you going to reject her, Kalen?" The same familiar voice said as I listened for more. Looks like they were satisfied with what they were doing.
