"Oh my God!" Lavender squealed happily. She just received an email from a famous company, Hummer Enterprise. The company has accepted her to be a new designer staff.
"Ethan, look! I got it. I got the job from Hummer Enterprise!"
Ethan left his chair immediately and glanced at Lavender's cell phone to read the email. Broadly grinning, he gave her sister a hug of congratulations. He was grinning widely and proud.
"Oh, congratulations, sweetheart. You did it. Oh, I'm so proud of you!" says Ethan, hugging Lavender. Lavender was thrilled to get into the job. Moreover, she was only a fresh graduate, thus hardly able to get a job now.
"Thank you very much. You always support me," Lavender grinned happily at her brother, Ethan. Lavender's remarkable intelligence, generosity, and achievements especially thrilled Ethan to see her progress in the future. Her dream of becoming a well-known interior designer will come true. Hummer Enterprise is a famous company today. Obtaining her way through a precious experience of working there.
Suddenly, Sandra came to scold her, "What is it?" Sandra frowned, not liking to see Lavender happy. However, Lavender still showed a different manner, although her aunt mistreated her.
"Aunty, look. Hummer Enterprise accepts me. I'm going to work tomorrow. I am so happy!" Lavender squeaked broadly and then showed Sandra the email she received. Sandra skimmed the email and glanced at Ethan, who looked sourly at her.
"I don't care who you work for. I have another plan for your future. Trust me, it is better than any job you will have at the company. It's an insurance." Sandra rebukes Lavender. Lavender immediately turned flat. Even Ethan scrutinized his sharp eyes on Sandra and looked suspicious.
"What insurance?" Lavender asked.
Sandra half threw Lavender's cell phone down on the dining table like she was pissed at the situation. She turned to Ethan and then glared back at Lavender.
"Since you live in my house and I pay for your life, you must obey me. Someone has proposed to you a wedding," Sandra orders tensely, like an employer. Ethan opened his mouth in disbelief. Meanwhile, the joy that had appeared in Lavender disappeared instantly.
"What?" Lavender murmured confusingly.
"Yes, we have a special dinner tomorrow. Thus, I want you to prepare yourself," Sandra says as she crossed her arms, pressuring Lavender to do as she wanted to. Ethan stood immediately and wanted to talk, but Sandra quickly stopped him.
"Do not confront me, young man. You're supposed to talk to your sister about it."
Lavender turned at Ethan quickly. She says disappointingly, "You knew it?" Ethan wanted to open his mouth again, but his annoying Aunt put him on the wrong side.
"Yes, he should tell you about it. Don't you, Ethan?" Sandra cut arrogantly and turned to go back to her room. Lavender was still staring at her brother and sat on the chair slowly. She looked upset, which made Ethan feel guilty.
"I'm sorry, Sweetheart."
Though Lavender has an annoying thought about her aunt, she has to sleep early. Tomorrow was her big day, and she did not want to miss it. She recalled Ethan saying before she walked to her room that she should not think about the wedding plan so much. When Aunt Sandra saw her achievement, she might withdraw the idea. Anything could have happened.
As she hardly thought about it, Lavender finally slept. Hence, there was a nightmare that bugged her in these few days. As she pulled to the deep sleep, the dream came again.
His breath roared closer, frightening Lavender even more than the man approached her when his nose tip nearly touched hers. Lavender held her breath as if she were going to die. His golden-brown eyes captivated her from pushing.
The man then hisses, "Stop squirming, little flower. I won't let you go," without blinking his eyes, frightening Lavender as he restrained her body.
