An alluring night....

The chilling north wind was passing by randomly through a darkened room.The white transparent curtains were floating in the air as the winds blow by the half opened window.

Over the pink colored bedsheet, a girl was sleeping soundly putting on a simple night gown. Her eyes were closed tightly but her sharp eyebrows were frowning together occasionally appearing an exhausted face.

Drops of sweat were slowly appearing on her forehead as her sleepy head was moving left and right vigorously as if she was recalling some haunted memories.

IRIS'S POV~

The hypocritical ringtone pierced through my eardrums breaking my beauty sleep as I jumped off from the bed panicking.

My breathing was rapid as I exhaled some long breathe to stable the state of my mind. I felt my sweat dripping from my forehead following down to my collarbone as I brushed my own palm over it.

I was having those nightmares again. what should I say? Nightmares or Memory?

I had been regularly having those pills prescribed by my psychiatrist. Still it showed no sign of stopping as I guess though she warned me previously that it would take some time to recover myself.

My phone rang again loudly.. Again I jolted at the sudden interference and mentally cursed myself for setting this creepy song as my ringtone.

Reluctantly I reached out for the phone through the amidst and finally saw the dialing screen. My heart skipped a bit and I consoled myself inwardly before tapping on the answer button.

The cold, magnetic tone echoed in my ear, " What made you so long to take the phone?Do you think that I have so much free time to call you for a whole night?"

I gulped down my fearful saliva and replied in a low voice though he was in fault, " I.. I'm sorry.. I was sleeping soundly.."

In reply, I heard his sigh of anger as I waited to hear an enlarged cursing again. Much to my surprise, his voice turned soft but serious, " I have concealed your Identity to IRIS YOUNG. Get ready for tomorrow."

I nodded without replying and parted my lips hesitantly to ask his whereabouts as I haven't seen him for a few months. Before my words could leave my tongue, I heard the beeping sound from other side.

I put down the phone and stared at the screen blankly. A bitter smile formed in my lips without my conscious as I felt my eyes tearing up.

No, IRIS.. You can't cry.. You have buried your old self years ago.. Don't shed your tears anymore..

I lifted up myself from the bed and walked towards my half opened window as it gave the best view of the busy town.

The shivering breeze welcomed my body as I felt a little cold on my sleepy face.

As I looked up in the luminous sky, a round full moon with the warming light fell on my face showering me with it's natural beauty. With a soft smile pestering on my lips, I enjoyed the peaceful view and shifted down my hazel eyes to see the top buildings in the capital.

Putting on a soft smile, I spoke softly swinging in my memories, " HELLO SILVERSTONE CITY. LONG TIME.."

The night passed by quickly. After tossing around in my bed, I fell asleep again burying my scars and pains that I couldn't share with anyone..

NEXT DAY, I woke up from a urging tiny voice beside my ear, " Mommy.. mommy.. wake up.. wake up.. It's 7..It's 7..you need to go for work.."

I shrugged nonchalantly ignoring the voice and went back to sleep burying my head inside the pillow so that his annoying voice couldn't reach my ears.

But he was already habituated with my behaviour. Thus he increased the sound of his tone and repeated the lines again and again.

I finally got up annoyingly and threw a cushion on his face yelling, " Stressed Tomato, can't you just bear to see me in sleep?"

I threw a harsh glare on my home robot who was here early in the morning to break my beauty sleep. Well, I was basically accustomed to live alone by my own.But my dear besty Daisy Maxwell was firmly against it.

She was majoring at robotic science in a renowned varsity here. At my 21st birthday, she gifted me this mini robot to take care of me. For god sake, I didn't know that what kind of program that she set up inside this robot. It always trailed me wherever I go inside my house. Even if I coughed lightly, it would call the emergency number xxx to ask for any doctor.

The worst part was that Daisy had commanded him to call me mommy. As for it's nickname, I chose to call him stressed tomato. It was tiny and round like a rolling ball along with his red painted steel material body just like a tomato.His facial expression seemed to me like a stressed one. Thus I nicknamed him as STRESSED TOMATO.

Grunting annoyingly and scratching my messy hairs, I went to open the door. As soon as my glass door opened, an intense fragrance filled up my nostrils causing me to look into the kitchen subconsciously.

And yeah, my anticipation was right.. There was she, Daisy Maxwell, my lovely bitchy best friend.

I slowly walked towards the kitchen and mumbled standing at the doorway, " What.. are you doing here early in the morning?"

She looked back at me smiling widely as her brown eyes were sparkling in excitement.Her hairs had boy cut giving off an intelligent woman vibe as she was damn talented. Her addiction had always been creating new robots.

She licked her index finger greedily wiping off the ketchup and walked over me widening her bare arms to catch me in her embrace.

I remained motionless as she pulled me into a tight hug before speaking anxiously, " Oh babe, I came to help you. This is your first day joining in the presidential team. I'm too much excited than you."

She knocked my head lightly and continued, " I knew that you are a lazy pig and won't get up early. So I thought of making this delicious dishes for you to celebrate your first day at work. "

I smiled back with gratitude and she shoved me out urging, " Now, get your ass out of here.. Jesus, you are going to be late at the first day of your work.. Hurry up.. "

I laughed before dragging my feet towards the washroom and spoke loudly, " Okay okay my dear aunty. I'm going to get ready within ten minutes."

I entered the bathroom briskly and switched on the shower as the cold water poured over my messy hairs. I exhaled some long breath to refresh my mood as my right hand subconsciously reached for the soap.

After finishing my quick shower, I stepped out from the bathroom wrapping the thick towel around my lightly soaked figure.

I walked over to the closet and pushed it open quickly. My eyes fell on the branded clothes as I frowned hard choosing the best attire.

I knew that all were branded clothes and some might be millions dollar. But those all feel cringy over my body.

Reluctantly I chose a blackberry colored sleeveless top hanging at the corner and put it down on my bed. I stood in front of the mirror staring at my reflection blankly.
