Veronica was in her room writing when her room busted open in a harsh way.

She didn't even moved an inch or raised her head since she already know who it was.

It was her sister - Isabella.

"How many times have I warned you to knock the door before entering or at least walk into the room without barging the door, Bella" she frowned.

She raised her head and saw her sister so engrossed in her phone.

She packed her writing materials and crossed her legs on the bed in the Asian sitting style.

Isabella raised her head up from the phone and scanned the room with her eyes.

She spotted her books beside her on the bed.

"You were writing stories, again?" she asked as Veronica rolled her eyes.

" Yeah"

She smiled and walked towards her on the bed.

"Let me have a look at it" she stretched her hand to pick one of the books but Veronica was fast enough to shift the books from her reach.

"I just want to read some pages" she whined.

"If you wanna read, visit my page and read" Veronica stated and packed her books with her as she climbed down the bed and walked towards her keeping box.

She kept her materials inside and locked the box with her fingerprint.

"Perfect" she smiled and turned to Isabella.

She responded the smile.

'I got my ways' Isabella thought and smiled inwardly.

"And what's with the smile" Veronica asked eyeing her.

That was when Isabella knew she was really smiling.

"Granny said you're cooking tonight" she announced still smiling.

She had to keep smiling so her sister won't suspect her on anything.

Tho granny really told her to call her sister to prepare dinner.

Everyone who had tasted her food really acredited her on her cooking.

"World Perfect Chef" Isabella would called her sometimes but she would never for any reason cook unless she was extremely happy.

'I can't wait to taste a delicious meal tonight' Isabella thought happily, her inner lady dancing in joy.

Her smile faded away when she saw her sister's frowns.

"I'm not cooking" Veronica stated flatly and walked back to her bed and sat down.

"But that's what granny wants" she tried to convince her tho she already knew she was never going back on her words.

"Grandma wants to eat, right?" Veronica asked smiling and Isabella nodded

"Yes"

"Then cook for her, prepare dinner for the family" she said as she took her phone which was in the middle of pillows on the bed.

"But..." Isabella tried to protest but was cut

"And I will prepare breakfast" .

"Really, are you really gonna make breakfast for us tomorrow" Isabella questioned smiling, her heart filled with joy and her sister nodded.

"Best meal is the best to start a new day" she stated still smiling.

"I will just tell granny you're busy or maybe you're not feeling so much fine" she said and made her way to the door.

"Nope" Veronica protested

"Just tell her I can't make dinner tonight but I'll surely prepare breakfast tomorrow morning" she stated and Isabella nodded an "Okay"

"Best meal is the best to start a new day, all I have to do to get it is to wait till morning" she stated more like singing in a childish way and dashed out of the room.

"Hmph" Veronica sighed and laid on the bed with her legs still on the floor and her hands under supporting her head as she faced the ceilings.

Later in the evening, the family had their dinner peacefully.

Grandpa, Mr Bakers wasn't around so it was only granny - Mrs Bakers and the Miles.

The girls ain't bearing the same name with their grandparents.

They are their mother's parents and so they are bearing their father's name.

The girls were in the living room playing games on their phone when Isabella spoke up.

"So how was my meal" she asked looking at the direction of her sister who was focused on her phone too.
