Unstable Love

It was the begining of the school academic year. Students were very happy returning to school meeting their friends. The high school students enjoyed meeting their peers .

When Leila Adams stepped into the hall-way everyone couldn't stop staring at her. She was like the most beautiful creature at school. Many girls felt jealous of her because she garnered the attention of everyone where ever she went to . Her long blond hair was exquisite, her captivating blue eyes . Not to mention her velvet skin ,she was almost perfect. When she smiled at anyone they couldn't help but be hypnotize by her killer smile. Too bad Leila was not the type to make friends with just anyone . In fact she detested bonding maybe because her Aunt miss Laura had warned her about befriending students. She walked pass her mates with steady stripes . There's nothing she enjoyed more than the attention she got from her mates. Her tall self always gave her the domineering spirit.

Heading down to the locker room, she notice someone sitting alone behind the stairs . Folding her head between her thighs, she girl seemed very sad, lost and out of place .

"What could have happened to her ,so much that she isolated herself from everyone and sat here looking so depressed" Leila thought to pass by and pretend she didn't see anything. But her rationality and curiosity took the best of her. She walked closer to the girl and sat beside her.

"Hey ,! Is there something wrong? Why sit alone?" Leila tried to be friendly just to help out . She couldn't bare seeing someone look so sad .

"....." Jenna was speechless . No one at school has ever acted so nice to her.

"Or ...., did someone bully you?" Her silence made Leila more perplexed by her Condition.

"No!..." Jenna said with a timid voice .it almost came out like a whisper. If not for the fact that they were too close to each other , it would have been very hard for Leila to get her.

"Why are you crying so early in the morning and that too on the first day of school ?" Leila really felt sorry for her . She really wondered what could cause a beautiful girl to cry.

"It's nothing important and thanks for the concern . It feels good to have someone care about my feelings " she was really scared that the girl sitting beside her will make fun of her like everyone else. To Jenna, it was already bad enough that she met her in that condition. She just had to avoid any form of conversation.

"Okay ....suit yourself.... I'm Leila Adams by the way!"

"..." Jenna looked at her with confusion written all over her face. Like seriously is she trying to be nice to her ?, like what in the name of blue berry cheese burger is really happening?. Like who doesn't know Leila Adams in Skywood high. The girl who has no friends and intelligent at that. She is very popular to begin with. Though Jenna has been here just for a year but she's known her very well. Maybe she wants to make fun of her.

"Hello...!!!" Leila said waving her hands over the lost girl's face ." Are you serious right now? " Leila felt pity for the poor girl who seemed like she had alot weighing on her shoulders.

"Snap out of it ...!!! Geez .....girl you sure do have alot to deal with" Leila wondered what was really bordering the girl .

"Oh sorry ...! I was just lost in thoughts " Jenna who snap out shaking like someone who saw a ghost . She was so startled that the words that left her mouth sounded shaky.

"What were you thinking about ?. If I may ask?". Leila was really curious to know . She felt she just developed a liking to her so she wanted to extend her kindness to her.

"Nothing ..." Jenna felt embarrassed to tell her that she was thinking about her

"Ok....!!! You didn't tell me your name". Leila is not someone to push or force things . If you want to talk go ahead,. She let's things flow naturally.

"Jenna Schultz " she said adjusting her glasses almost in a whisper again .Leila had to be keen before getting. She didn't actually get why the girl was so scared.

"What a nice name you got .! I love it" Leila said smiling .

"Tha.....thank you" Jenna said with a shaky voice scratching her face. She was really confused as to why Leila was interested in knowing what was going on.

"So Jenna, mind telling me why you are so scared of me?" Leila just developed a friendly interest in Jenna. She had to help her, the girl was seriously looking depressed and she felt pity for her.

"Huh!??" Jenna was shocked with Leila's revelation. How did she know Jenna was scared of her?. What a pity cause Jenna felt that way to everyone else at school.

"Yeah , you can't even look at me in the eyes , or I'm I wrong?" Leila said with a chuckle cause she noticed how uneasy the girl before her looked .

Jenna shook her head in affirmative. She didn't even know what to say at the moment. She has always been like this since she didn't grow up with love from her parents . She has so many things going through her mind that she didn't even realize she just accepted the allegations Leila placed on her .

Was it really an allegation or a fact ? Normally Jenna is a shy person.

"Hahaha...... come on , that is silly , I'm not a wild beast . "Leila laughed softly . She just can't understand why Jenna is scared of her.

"Hmmm " it just came to her knowledge what she had accepted and it made her embarrassed by her own actions. She was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn't notice when Leila sat down beside her .She stared at her face keenly without Leila's knowledge . She just wished she had a friend like her to talk to, and she would be ok. Not knowing the heaven heed to her prayers before she could even ask.

But she wasn't sure if Leila's show of care and interest was genuine and will last . So she had to be careful.

"Jenna!!! You need to see the school counselor. You seem really far off from the world and looking at the lost look in your eyes one can tell you are psychologically not healthy." Leila sounded really worried something might happen to the girl beside her.

"No , it isn't nessesary , I'm fine . You don't need to worry about me" Jenna said meekly. She hated the idea of going to the counselor. Not even her Mum knew the things she went through. Because Jenna was not the type to voice out her agony or grief .She never told her parents she was bullied at school , she rather die in pain and silence.

" Sure..!?" Leila asked with a suspicious glance . She didn't want to believe that Jenna was also afraid of the counselor.

"Hmm" Jenna responded nodding her head .

"I hope you......." Leila was still very sceptical about her response and plus she was still very much curious to know what was really bordering the girl. Not like she's being nosy or something , but her interest for Jenna is also freaking her out .She is not the friend and bond type.

The school bell's ringing cut her words half way . So it gave Jenna a golden opportunity to run off.

"That's the bell , got to go, bye " Jenna said running off . She just couldn't wait to leave .

"Oh! Got to go too,see you some other time" Leila said to almost no one cause Jenna had gone far off.

Leila got up went to her locker to replaced the stuff in it as it was the first day of school. She took out some books and placed in her backpack. She applied some lip balm , looked at herself in the small mirror in her locker and closed it after being satisfied with the way she looked . Leila rushed off to class with a lot of energy and enthusiasm.
