Sacrifice

Chapter 1 Sacrifice

In my ears echoes each long howl of the wolf, it keeps resounding in the forest, the more scary it sounds, the stranger it is. I ran as fast as I could in a panic, completely not daring to turn around, just because I was afraid I would be grabbed by something.

The scene at that time was dark and difficult to see, and it was night in the deep forest, so the temperature dropped even more. I crept among the big old trees with the hope of finding my way out, however... it seems I can't escape. They caught up, we are now a very close distance from each other. The scene at that time was dark and difficult to see, and it was night in the deep forest, so the temperature dropped even more. I crept among the big old trees with the hope of finding my way out, however... it seems I can't escape. They have already caught up with me.

I still didn't give up, trying to use some strength to run away. I don't understand why I'm in such a mess right now. In the afternoon I was still in the tent with a few friends because I was sleepy, so I took a nap and... until I woke up, I found myself lying in the middle of a deep, dark forest.

Behind me was a pack of wolves, I didn't dare to look back, but I guess there were about six or ten of them. The howls of the wolves grew louder, louder and louder, and I knew that soon I would be exhausted, and they would soon catch me.

Yes, God is so unfair to me. The branch that crossed from tree to tree blocked my way. I tripped over it and fell directly to the ground. This time, I could clearly see the prospect of myself being torn apart by wolves. That's it, my life is over.

I painfully hugged a scratched arm and sat up, I wanted to run, but the moment I raised my head, my eyes accidentally met the eyes of a wolf. I was motionless, after the last eye contact made my legs numb. Likewise, I couldn't lift my legs, it was like it was firmly rooted in the ground, completely unshakable.

I said nothing because facing me was a wolf with blood-red eyes. It stands closest to me and is also the most different one. Its red eyes looked at me sternly, a far cry from the blue-eyed wolves that were looking at me lustfully.

I trembled slightly with fear, even though I couldn't walk, I still managed to drag my body backwards. Things have turned out like this, I can't keep my composure anymore. I started to cry, tears kept rolling down my cheeks. I pursed my lips together with trembling eyes, and begged the animal to stand in front of me again.

"Please don't... kill me. Please don't... please, don't kill me."

I don't know whether the wolf standing in front of me understood or not, only that its gaze was still as cold as ever, but it was no longer as scary as it was in the beginning. Another wolf in the back seemed to be unable to hold it any longer, it rushed towards me intending to bite. I was afraid to close my eyes and wait for my death to come, but I was wrong.

The red-eyed wolf directly grabbed its fellow's neck to protect me. It shoved the wolf in his mouth aside, its eyes seeming to warn the other wolves not to do anything stupid.

I looked at the wolf in front of me without blinking. At this time, the leader of the pack wolf came close to my body and sniffed me with his nose. And then, there was a low, hoarse sound in my ears.

"You became a sacrifice. Now, your body is mine, your soul is mine too... Girl, you have a special scent."

It took a long time to realize that the voice was from the wolf standing in front of him. I wondered to myself how a wolf could speak a human language so clearly. Or maybe they weren't just wolves, maybe...

The wolf came around me to smell my body, I couldn't help but shiver continuously, partly from fear, partly from the cold. Presently, another voice rang out.

"Elias, she learned of the existence of us werewolves, and as a sacrifice, she was not allowed to live. You must kill her."

I looked around to find where the voice had come from, but there was no one else here besides me and the scary wolves. Most likely, the voice belonged to one of the blue-eyed wolves in the background. In response to that voice came the growl of a wolf named Elias. It seems I'm still useful in its eyes, which is why it hesitates to kill with me. At this moment, I quietly say:

"Please... please don't kill me. Just release me, I promise I won't reveal anything about you guys. I promise..."

Elias wagged his tail in amusement, circling me as if to examine. It seems that I have a certain scent on me that makes it especially noticeable to me. The wolf standing behind me suddenly let out a long howl, the sound echoing in the forest created a strange, chilling feeling. The mouth of the wolf seemed to emit sound waves, I couldn't bear it and had to cover my ears.

The wolves in the back also had to take a few steps back, it seemed that they were very afraid of this wolf named Elias. Suddenly, I was suddenly grabbed by something in the neck. The pain was so bad that my whole body became numb. The image in front of the eyes fades away, and the ears can't hear any more sounds. I fainted right after that because I couldn't take it anymore, everything that followed... I don't remember anything.
