Hei's life was nothing special, it was full of pain. And perhaps in that life, the most beautiful thing she had ever met was that in her humdrum life, she was acquainted, married, and lived with Yu Yan. They decided to get married quickly without a romantic proposal and flower petals. The married was not due to previous love, but only because of a proposal she made to him. "Yu Yan, marry me, okay?" "Okay, we're getting married." Hei used to think it was a mythical marriage that would soon break up. But then she didn't expect that she would fall so deeply into marriage. The love of her life, from now and then on attached to that marriage, cannot be stopped. After all the sweetness and bitterness, in the end, she just wanted to say to Yu Yan: "Yu Yan, I'm so sorry and thank you very much. I love you!"

Chapter 1 Meet Him

If one day, the love that you always adore suddenly bursts like a bubble, will you still believe in love? Would you still want to get married after that?

Yes. If that person deserves it.

Life is not only pain. Life has both alternating black and pink patches. There are times when the black covering makes you suffocate, miserable, and lost. But if you can overcome those dark colors, you will go to the pink world where you have always dreamed about. That place is full of gentle light and love for you.

"You are a very resilient girl, and your love is as strong as who you are."

Meeting Yu Yan when Hei was still in college, Hei told him like this:

"I will get married if that person deserves. There is no need for me to bury myself under the pain of lost love. No matter how deep love is, if I'm betrayed, I'll quit immediately. I believe that time will heal all wounds. And I think that I will meet the other person who eased all of my pain. If that person makes me feel like I can be relied on, I will marry him."

At that time, Hei was 20 years old. She was still experiencing a passionate love in her youth.

Hei was just an ordinary student majoring in publishing. And the man sitting next to her on this bench exuded maturity.

Hei was sad and sat alone on a bench in the park her boyfriend broke an appointment. Coincidentally, that guy came from nowhere and sat down next to her.

Her first impression of him was that he was a handsome and polite man. While she was crying, he gave her a tissue and patiently sat down to listen to her lament.

She said she was very upset because she got stood up. That was not the first time she got stood up.

Yan just smiled softly and asked her:

"Neither do you ask him why nor be mad at him?"

She sighed.

"Yes, because I appreciate this love. I think maybe he also has an unexpected business, that's the reason why. I really hope that our upcoming wedding will be happy without any anger because it will affect the mood a lot."

He looked at her in surprise, then looked at her immature appearance. He said:

"Are you going to get married? You're very young! I guess you're only eighteen or twenty, right?"

Hei smiled comfortably.

"That's right, I'm twenty years old, in my third year of college."

Yu Yan looked at her smile and couldn't help but groan. At twenty years old, the most beautiful age of a girl's youth, that girl chose to marry.

He smiled and then looked at her eyes. He said sincerely:

"Then wishing happiness for you!"

Hei observed the smile that did not reach the bottom of his eyes.

His eyes contained an unnamed sadness. Although it was not deep sadness, they made people who look at them feel sad. Hei did not answer him, but she unconsciously asked him:

"Have you just been... lovelorn?"

Forgiving Hei for the rude question, but she felt a little curious about him.

However, Yan wasn't angry. On the contrary, he smiled:

"How can I say? I seem... about to be lovelorn."

Hei felt that his phrase "about to be lovelorn" was a bit confusing. She tilted her head and asked:

"Why do you say "about to be lovelorn"? Could lovelorn be predictable?"

Yu Yan raised his head to look at the distant stars in the dark sky. He didn't say anything more, just looked at the sky like that.

Hei wanted to ask him more, but she felt inadequate.

Two strangers, being able to sit and talk happily with each other like that, was already a beautiful short chance. She should have also left Yu Yan a good impression. She shoudn't have been inquisitive.

Yu Yan stayed like that for a few minutes, then suddenly he turned to her and asked a question:

"If one day, the love that you always adore suddenly burst like a bubble, will you still believe in love? Would you still want to get married after that?"

Silent, there was a long silence between the two.

After finishing the question, he seemed to realize that he was abrupt and lacked sophistication. Then he sighed and corrected himself:

"Oh, I'm sorry! I shouldn't have asked this question to someone who is drowning in a happy couple like you."

But as soon as he finished his words, Hei waved her hand, implied that there was no problem. She twisted her fingers and said with a little pity:

"No... no problem. Because what you asked... is also my thought. I have also thought about this issue a lot. Sometimes I have a gut feeling that I'll loose my love, and I couldn't help thinking about it."

After she accomplished, she hesitated for a long time. Then she answered Yan's question:

"Yes, I will marry if the person deserves it."

And then, their conversation turned into a sharing of Hei's feelings.

Hei looked at the red and green lights outside the busy street. She felt that sadness rose.

Her boyfriend was a hot boy in college. Therefore, there were many relationships around him.

Having known him for three years, Hei was always in a state of anxiety and insecurity, she was afraid that this love would disappear at any time because of her boyfriend's fun.

But it was not, he was always beside her, just sometimes he was quite indifferent. His character was also childish. And the truth was that he often made Hei sad, but then she ignored it because she was taught that she needed to have tolerance and understanding in love.

Her boyfriend also knew she had a reason to get married soon. Last weekend he took her out, then proposed to her.

Hei's boyfriend arranged a romantic proposal with roses, heart balloons, and a sparkling wedding ring.

He told her: "Hei, let's get married! I want to be your caretaker for the rest of your life."

She moved to tears, and could only nod but not say anything more.

Her three-year love affair, despite going through many times of anger, anxiety, and disappointment, had came to a beautiful end.

But even a month after being proposed, Hei still felt inauthentic, and sometimes she had a bad hunch.

The person who proposed to her did not change, still often immersed in youthful joys, rarely paying attention to her feelings.

Hei immersed in the line of thoughts and memory. Suddenly, her shoulders were heavy and her body warmed up. She looked surprised at the person who had just put on her his coat. It was the man who sat next to Hei to hear she say all her inner feelings.

Yu Yan told her:

"It's late, I think you should go home. The night is cold, don't catch a cold. You don't need to return this coat. Just keep it, consider it as a comforting gift for your soul that has been hurt because of your boyfriend."

He smiled but didn't say goodbye. Without waiting for Hei to reply, he turned his head and left.
