"You can't be serious ". Adam exclaimed as he stared at the letter that was wide open . The loyal blue seal with the golden foil had been torn open and the content of the letter lay bare before him. His hands where shaking.

Aria his mate snatched the letter from him and her eyes dazed from left to right of the content

"I didn't expect such a ruined face .Come on! This is a huge privilege. Don't tell me you are going to reject this offer" , Aria said carefully placing the letter back on the table while giving him a stern look .

"To become the next King! An alpha? . No I hate the idea already . I can't ". He wrapped his hands around his chest .

"It's not about interest . It's your fate Or would you rather tell me you are not aware you are the strongest and most competent? . I really believe this is what you deserve," she rocked back and forth. She looked at Adam with so much confidence in her eyes

The king of the golden moon pack, Alpha King Ambrose had sent a letter to the most powerful family in the pack . He wanted Adam to become the new Alpha . He was already very old and he's getting weaker by day .

He had no child to succeed him . He never cared to find his mate because of his dislike for females.

Having witnessed as his mother killed his father on the full moon night . There and then he concluded not to have anything to do with female werewolves.

Alpha king Ezra after days of thought found only Adam who was also the beta of the golden moon pack as the only one capable of handling the pack . He sent a letter across to him and waits patiently for a reply

Adam a very powerful werewolf and the strongest werewolf in the golden moon pack . He had single handedly killed an enemy pack .

Regardless of the risk of war , he went to fight one of the weak enemy pack ,And wiped the whole pack . Adam's strength was twice the strength of a normal werewolf . His speed was twice faster likewise his size .

Adam fell in love with a vampire. He met his mate after thirty years of searching . They got married immediately.

The love and compassion between this two was envied by all. They where not only the strongest but had the most peaceful home .

Annie was the most beautiful in the whole pack . She was unique too. Her looks says something different about her. She looked like a human . Not as a vampire nor werewolf nor even the combination of the two ..

She has a wide set cat-like eyes with a crystal blue color. Her skin was so tender and smooth . Although her face was wolfish, her straight pointed nose and thin lips fitted perfectly well .

Her powers where unknown to anyone . Not even her parents .

Aria was able to convince her husband to Accept his fate and become the next Alpha king . His only rival was Fridolf . Adam and Fridolf were very close friends . It was same thing brought them together- Strength .

Fridolf the Gemma of the golden moon pack

Unknown to any , desperately wanted to be the next Alpha All his years ,he had fought as a warrior just for the throne ;

His mate was among the weakest werewolf . She was once a human but was later bitten by a wolf . She as an Omega did not understand what was going through her body . Out of pity, Fridolf took her in his pack and lived with her. He grew fond of her and decided to marry her .

"I will do anything to be the Alpha ," Fridolf said. His finger clenched to a fist . . They was no way he is going to defeat Adam !

"There is nothing I can do but there might be something the pack witch could possibly do ",he giggled

"Who is fated to be the next King?" Fridolf asked , he already knew what would be the answer but insisted

"Adam! " The witch said.

Adam is already the next Alpha,he replied after series of incantations , he is the beta ofcourse. only his death can possibly stop him . As you already know, no one can defeat him because of his strength . He is one of the strongest werewolf in south America.

There must be another way to get rid of him , Fridolf growled, his wolf was taking over already. His wolf really is more greedy than himself. He handed a small sack filled with coins to him

How do we get rid of him and his mate?

The witch quickly took the coins and kept it on a safe place . His wide opened eyes dashing from one corner to another

"The only possible way is to Kill him through a fight challenge "

"Are you been Serious?

Like you also want me to die even though I won't get the throne", He growled in anger

"I will make him weaker ! The witch said . That's all I can do but you have to prepare yourself . You are the only one that can challenge him in terms of strength. Apart from the Alpha ofcourse"

Fridolf went home elated and relieved . He got himself ready to challenge Adam who was already the Alpha

Alpha Adam also got himself ready for the fight . He had accepted the challenge from him . He was fully much away of the rule that anyone who kills the Alpha gets to rule the pack .

The fight wasn't blissful atall for all and especially Fridolf

Adam grabbed the tree branch and swung his swung himself up .

He landed in the floor and looked down then up.

Fridolf did the same . He swung him self with is upper body strength .

It was like a culture to the pack before every fight . A way to warm themselves up .

They looked fiercely at each other . Adam's eye turn golden and shone like the sunshine.

Fridolf 's turned red like a hot charcoal.

The fight began ...

Adam's Pov

"For the sake of my pack I had to win this fight . Am the one entrusted to rule not Fridolf ", My wolf was taking over gradually .

"Good "!

I trust my wolf more than myself . He is So powerful and brave . But the deal was to fight in our human form and not shifting to a wolf . So he had to stay within .

I unsheathed my silver blade and got ready to tear fridolf to piece

"Wrong move you idiot" ! I exclaimed immediately Fridolf stepped in front of me

I pushed my self into the branch and swung my silver blade at his head . I stopped when it got to his neck.

"Let's stop this friend!" You can be my beta . I said with my sword still pointed at his neck .

"I won't spay you again Fridolf"! . He was already kneeling at my mercy .

"I will choose to die my Lord with your blades . I can't stop myself" .he said and got up quickly and almost cut me off guard

He swung his sword over to my chest. The tip of the sword scratched through my chest .

Anger burned down my spine . I was ready to devour him if that's what he had chosen for himself. No one dares to challenge almighty Alpha Adam! No one has ever defeated the Almighty Adam . I hit my clenched fist on my chest . My face turned to a wolf out of anger but my body was still human .

He swung his sword at me again .

I ducked under, grabbing a branch and picking my self up .I kicked him so had on the chest .

He fell to the ground. Again at my mercy . I won't give "you a chance to mess around again !" I grumbled

I lifted my sword high with my two hands . It was pointed at his chest .

Just as it was about to pierce through his chest .my heart started to freeze .

"What's going on?" I staggered My hand started to shake .

My feet where getting weaker and weaker . My vision became blur .

I fell to the ground letting go of my sword .

Fridolf 's Pov

Huh !

A sigh of relief

What a turn of event ! . I almost died! . What was I thinking . My sword was now pointing at his neck . The sharp blade had already cut his neck slightly.

"Good bye ! My friend" , i giggled . Lifting the sword so high to the sky in a bent style .

"Wait! ", Adam shouted in a commanding tone. Making my sword to stop half way to his chest

"I suppose you have a good reason for summoning me to a fight "

"Ye- yeah",I stuttered.

The look in his face was that of disappointment and betrayal .I bet he already know what I did . The poison worked ! . The poison the witch gave me worked. My heart gladdened

"Tell me already , I am not waiting for ever " he said .

I hesitated a bit before I told him in a low tone . He was going to die soon afterall

"It's for the throne. You would have been better off as a my beta "

Do you know why I fought tirelessly ? It was for the throne.

Do you know why I defended the Alpha putting my life at risk? It was just for the damn throne !!. I was a little bit louder this time.

Your last wish I summoned with tears . Adam was my best friend. I can't give up now , if I do he would hunt me down and tear me to pieces .

My pack ,the golden moon pack was one of the few surviving pack in south America. We are not the most powerful. The red moon pack are. They are the only pack we never challenge to a fight. Although they are very peaceful.

As the new king I brought out my own rules . "The commoners have nothing in common with the royal blood". It has always been my dream to keep them where they belong.

I knew very well that my old friend Adam would want to curse me right now but I have to do my thing. I took his wife far away from her daughter. Probably where she belongs .

I sat on the oversized bejeweled chair . On the throne.

I felt like my feet barely touched the ground ,my spirits where flying high . My heart leaped up for joy . I could barely contain my happiness.

I smiled boldly when I looked at the little chair by the side . It's for my son . My sucesor . He is still too young if not I would make him sit next to me every now and then to learn how his father rules.

I ordered banishment of Adam's mate Aria .I was afraid that Aria would come for me one day.

She is one of the most powerful vampires existing

Ofcourse the truth is bound to be exposed . But not by her . Never! , I thought aloud. My heart raced in fear.

It took me some time to get back at my feet again . And over come my fears. I was the cruel Alpha king who will always remind commoners that they have a line which they would never cross.

I sent her to her distant relative . They lived in the outskirt of the pack . Peasants they are . Her upbringing would be suffocating to her .

Even though I only kept her alive because of Adam's last wish. But she isn't getting a comfortable life . I will make

sure she suffers alot that She won't even realize she has any special powers.
