Brea Martinez is a walking curse in her university because every man that will court her ends up being missing. She is gorgeous, naive, and kind, but no one wants to be friends with her. She's alone and has no family to rely on. Brea never gave value to herself, not until she met the cold billionaire that would turn out to be her boss. "My lips are seducing you?" Brea asked. "Not only your lips but your whole body, Brea. You did not know that you are the greatest seducer in my life."
Brea's POV
Life is not for me, but I still need to fight every day. I don't know the meaning of life because I have no one with me. I am alone in my apartment here in Los Angeles. I am eating alone. I have no family, no boyfriend, or even friends. All I have is myself.
"Ms. Brea Martinez, you can now enter Mr. Walker's office. He's waiting inside. Follow me," the secretary said to me with a commanding tone.
I got up from the chair where I was waiting. The female secretary walked over to me, and I followed her as she wanted. I am sure she'll take me to her boss's office here on the huge airlines in Los Angeles.
Wearing my stiletto, I walk full of confidence even I am nervous. It's the first time that I am going to work. I don't want this, but I need to do this for my on-the-job training. It is required for all fourth-year college students like me.
I need to work to pass and graduate to find the perfect job. I want to earn my own money. I don't want to depend on Mr. Secret, who was secretly helping me financially.
"Talk properly," the secretary said to me, and we both stopped walking.
We stopped in front of a black door. There is a sign on the door that says, 'Office of the President'. My university put me here in the W International Airlines to do my on-the-job training. I will work with the owner of the airlines.
This was my first job, so I didn't know what to do or say right in front of the owner. I searched for Mr. Walker, but I didn't get anything about him except his name and his age. The information is too secretive.
I took a deep breath to avoid my nervousness, but nothing happened. I knocked three times on the door. I grabbed the doorknob and slowly opened it. My heart was beating so fast that I pushed to open the door.
I walked inside and released the doorknob. The door closed spontaneously, creating a noise.
"G-Good morning, Mr. Walker," I shuttered.
I saw a man that I think was the owner of this airline. Mr. Walker was looking outside the glass wall of his office. I couldn't stop myself from watching a tall man that I estimated six-footers or more than that. He was wearing black slacks and a black suit. His shoulders are broad. He seems. to be at the gym often because his body is beautiful, even though I can only see his back.
"I am Brea Martinez from the University of California. Our university sent me here for two months of on- the-job training. I am glad to work with you, Mr. Walker--"
I stopped speaking when suddenly Mr. Walker turned to face me. A very handsome man. Only now have I seen such a handsome man in my whole life. There are many men in our university, but there is no such handsome face!
His hair is perfectly sided ways; he has a pointed nose, brown deep hooded eye, soft arch-shaped eyebrows, and a plump lower lip with a short stubble beard that makes me ask myself.
Is he more handsome without a beard?
"So, Ms. Martinez," he uttered my surname that sent shivers down to my body.
He's hot! Twenty-nine years old like Mr. Walker is so perfect!
He watched me from my feet to the skirt I was wearing, my white button-down polo, and he stopped in my eyes. The two of us stared at each other.
In the twenty-one years I have lived in the world, only now have I been impressed by the super handsome face of the man in front of me today.
"You can start working by tomorrow, Ms. Martinez." He sat down in his swivel chair. "But you are still not allowed to go. Sit here." He pointed to the visitor chair in front of his desk.
I quickly stepped closer to the visitor chair. I sat there and smiled, facing the airline owner.
"I have my rules in my office, and you need to obey those rules of mine." He presented me with a paper. I took it and immediately read it.
The rules.
Number one, don't wear a skirt. Wear something long like slack. Number two, I don't want my employee using her phone during office hours. Number three, I don't want a slow employee. Number four, my employee needs to do everything that I want.
I looked at the final number, but nothing was written there. It's just blank. I shifted my gaze to Mr. Walker.
"What is the fifth rule?" I asked.
"The fifth rule is no boyfriend," he answered immediately. "I will not accept you if I find out that you have a boyfriend." It's like he is threatening me!
Is this the case with his company? Are all employees not allowed to have boyfriends?
"Do you have a boyfriend, Ms. Martinez?" he asked seriously.
"No, I don't have one," I smiled because I was free to work here.
I also won't have a boyfriend because everyone at our university thinks I'm a curse. During my first year of college, someone tried to court me, but he suddenly disappeared like a bubble the next day. It's not just once because everyone who tries to court me is like that. They suddenly disappear the next day.
That's also the reason why I don't even have a friend. They are afraid to approach me because they are scared that they might disappear tomorrow.
"Do you ever have a boyfriend?" he asked again. "Or do you have a suitor now? Or someone that you like?"
Maybe this is also part of my job, that is why he is asking me. I don't want to be a burden to this company. I am willing to do my job.
"I'm asking this, so I know if you're going to have a boyfriend because I'll fire you right away if you have a boyfriend." Mr. Walker is a rigorous person.
"I don't have any man in my life, Mr. Walker."
"Good girl."
