The Academy

One a rainy nights a young woman's scream was heard inside a room, scream of pain and agony.

"Push!" the lady shouted

"matilda push!" came the voice again

"I know it's painful honey, please push more the baby's head is almost out" her husband encouraged her as he caresed her hands.

Matilda held his hands tightly and pushed and screamed with tears rolling down her cheeks, she pushed with all her strength and finally the cry of a baby was heard.

" It's a girl!" the midwife said as she raised the child up before handing it to another lady beside her.

" It's remaining the second one" she told Matilda, Matilda gave her a light nod before taking three breaths in and out , and proceed to push the second child, the second make out with ease.

" It's a girl!" She said again before handing the baby to the other woman besides her again.

"Lord I'm so happy the babies are out, two beautiful girls, I love you Matilda thank you for this wonderful gifts" her husband said to her and gave her a kiss on the forehead and she gave him a wry smile.

" there's till one left" the midwife said

"One?" Matilda said with a shocked expression written all over her face.

"H-how can it be, the doctor said I'm having twins when I went for ultrasound 5months ago"

"Yes that's what the doctor told us, so how can you be saying-" Mark's words were cut short when Matilda screamed in pain. The midwife laid her back down on the bed and told her to push again, Matilda couldn't push properly because she was already weak after pushing several time to bring the first two out. Not to talk it's her first time giving birth, and she ended up with triplets instead of twin as she thought.

"I-i can't, I can't push any longer, the baby is stubborn" she screamed again

"You have to try Matilda" said the midwife.

"Mati, breathe in" she followed Mark's instruction and breathed in.

"Now out" she breathed out, he instructed her three times before she was asked to push really hard. Successfully the baby's head came out followed by the shoulders before the remaining part of the body.

" it's a girl, congrats Matilda with your beautiful girls" the midwife congratulated her, Matilda smiled and fainted thereafter.

A month after.

"Are we going to hold a naming ceremony or you are just going to name them now" Mark asked Matilda

" Of course I'll hold a naming ceremony, triplets is a beautiful gift" she replied her husband with a warm smile as she breast feeds the girls one after another.

"When will it be then, it's been a month already mati and the girls have no name"

"In two days then"

Mark smiled and kissed his wife before heading to the kitchen to help prepare dinner, since her mother and sister are out shopping for more baby clothes.

"We are home!" Matilda's younger sister Jasmine said

" keep your voice down you silly girl, you'll wake the girls up" her mother gave her a slap on her head

"Ouch, ma it's painful" Jasmine said trying to fake a cry

"Shut up, go get yourself a man" and Jasmine rolled her eyes at her word

Like it's that easy to see a man that will fit my personality and taste, good men are hard to find these days, can't this old woman understand that 😑

"Matilda, where's Mark, he can't just leave you alone in the house, doesn't he know a woman who just gave birth newly shouldn't be alone, I'll spank him when he returns" she said with a froan on her face

But before Matilda could reply Mark shouted from the kitchen

" I'm in the kitchen mom, don't worry I am not stupid to leave my wife alone to handle three girls"

"You better not" Matilda's mom Heris said .

"Ma, I'll be holding the girls naming ceremony in two days"

"You will, OMG! what's their names gonna be tell me mati, tell me" Jasmine half screamed in other not to wake the girls up but unfortunately she did, and the two women in front of her gave her a hard glare.

"God Jasmine look now you've woken them up, do you know how hard it is to put them to sleep" Matilda said tiredly

" You irresponsible 25 year old girl, you are supposed to be looking for a husband not behaving like a child, look what you've done, if you don't find a man soon I'll get you one at least you will learn to compose yourself " Heris scolded her

"Ma! , don't do that we ain't in the 90s anymore were they arrange marriages, I want to fall in love like Mati and Mark, I want a rich handsome sweet and romantic man, that will always pet me" she said as she claps her hands together bringing it inbetween her chin and neck while flattering her eyes .

Heris rolled her eyes at her

"Keep dreaming about your fairytale husband while I prepare to get you married like in the '90s'" she said and laughed.

"What were you saying Matilda about the naming ceremony again"

" It will be in two Days mom, I'd like you and Jasmine to go shopping, as am unable to leave the girls side, they are really stubborn for a one month old" She giggled at her words

"Okay my sweet, mommy will go for you"

"I'll go if you let me shop for myself too" Jasmine said and received a slap on the head .

"You go anyways, no shopping, what else do you want, you have lot's of clothes, bags, and shoes even make ups. You could even start a business out of those clothes, spending money recklessly"

" Okay Jas, you'll shop" Matilda said as she half chuckled

"Yes!" she Yelp happily and stock her tongue out at her mom

"Childish, Matilda you are spoiling a grown ass woman , go get a man" she huffed as her patted one of the girls she's carrying.

'where did this old woman learn the word ass from, gosh she's watching too much movies, using ass in a word now, she really doesn't wanna get old. Ha!'

"Dinner is ready!" Mark shouted from the dinning room.

The women help Matilda put the girls to sleep before going to the dinning room.

" Jasmine come help me hang this balloons I'm too old I don't wanna break my hips"

" I thought you don't like when someone says you are old , now you saying it yourself " Jasmine laughed as she went to help her mother in the living

"Shut up, only me can call myself old, now be fast the guests will be arriving soon " After arranging the balloons , she set the dishes with mark before the guests started arriving.

"Honey please help with one of the girls " Mark help his wife to carry one of the girls as they went down the stairs to meet the guests.

There was joyful noise and laughters and prayers with gifts , everybody congratulated them and blessed the girls. They talked and drink before Matilda and her husband called the attention of everyone.

"As everybody knows" Matilda spoke once she got everyone's attention "It is the naming ceremony of the girls, I am so happy and blessed to be with them, it was painful but nothing good comes easy, The girl my husband is holding now is the first, the one on my right is the second and my left is the third, my beautiful babies names are Lia, Mia, and Gia, she said Lia first, Mia second and Gia third, that is there names from here on, I love my girls and I'll cherish them." Everyone applauded and shouted their names

"On again my new company is launching tomorrow and I'll name it The LMG group" and there was another uproar.

After announcing the the names , they distributed the meals and baby books to everyone. Everybody ate as she told them the story of her children's birth, her experience and how shocked she was when she heard she's having triplets.
