CEO's Innocent Bride

A lady with an innocent beautiful face clad in a long white wedding gown,walked down the aisle with a bunch of flowers in her hands.

She has a beautiful smile on her face as she walked to her handsome groom who was waiting for her with the usher too.

Families from the groom and the bride were all seated, while waiting for the bride to get to her betrothed.

From the atmosphere and arrangements of the place, one could easily detect a wedding is going on in the church and the bride is very excited about it, judging from the smile on her face till she reached the groom.

This has always what she dreamt of since the day her betrothed had proposed to her. To be in a white wedding gown, walking down the aisle to the love of her life, with the groom waiting for her with a smile on his face.

But it wasn't the same with the groom, as he has a gloomy expression on his face, one that can't be read.

But Krystal wasn't seeing it that way or she choose to ignore his facial expression and go with the reason that he might be nervous about the wedding.

She got to him, faced him and smiled but he didn't smile back, instead he gave her a cold stare. This got Krystal to crease her brow but she quickly replaced it with a forced smile.

'Everything is fine' she said to herself inwardly.

"Brian, do you take Krystal as your lawfully wedded wife, in pains and sorrows, till death do you apart" the usher read out the vows.

Brian looked at Krystal coldly, it made her wonder if something was wrong with him. She noted inwardly to ask him what was wrong with him after the wedding will be over.

But his next words made her smile fall and her world crumble before her eyes.

"No!!" Brian replied firmly holding his gaze with Krystal's.

Krystal's breath seized and she couldn't breathe well. She looked around her towards where her aunt and uncle were seated expecting to see any shock expression on their faces.

But instead, they have an expression of one

who expected and already knew what his answers will be.

Krystal blinked her tears as she turned to Brian.

"Brian, wha... what are you saying, is something wrong, what's..."

"Oh please!"a feminine voice cut her off and she turn to her.

A woman of same age as Krystal, but a bit younger, dressed in the same White dress as Krystal, though the lady's gown is more beautiful than Krystal's, walked down the aisle towards where Krystal and Brian were standing.

"Kelly!"Krystal called the lady's name, it was none other than her cousin sis, the daughter of her aunt and uncle.

Kelly smirk at her before leaning close to Brian and they kissed each other, right in her presence.

Tears flow down Krystal's eyes as she watched them. "What's going on here?"she demanded as she couldn't take it anymore.

Kelly turn to her with a smile,"Are you so dump and naive that you don't understand what's going on?"

"Well let me make it clear for you, Brian rejected you as his wife and he is choosing me instead, I guess now you understand what's going on."

Krystal couldn't believe what she is hearing and still doesn't understand. She turned to her aunt and uncle seeking for an answer for all this drama pulling in front of her.

Aunt Madison and her husband both stood up and walked to them. The parents of Brian also stood, including his sister, Jasmine.

"Look here Krystal, what Kelly said is true, Brian rejects you as his wife and now choosing Kelly as his. Although, from the start, Brian was never yours, he had always chosen Kelly not you, all your relationship with Brian is just an act" her Aunt Madison explained to her in a sarcastic and mockery voice.

Of course, why won't they mock her, she had been fooled right from the beginning. If one had told her before that Kelly and her parents would fool her, she wouldn't believe the person. Not only had they fooled her, but they also betrayed her.

Kelly and her parents had always acted sweet and so nice to her that she felt they were her real parents and Kelly was a very close sis and friend to her.

She lives with them since she lost her parents in a plane crash when she was of younger age. Her parents were one of the richest people in the states and they left many wealth, companies and wills in her name.

But she couldn't handle it all as she was only a girl of twelve and the only child of her parents. But she grew up under the care of her Aunt and uncle. They took pity on her and took her in so she stayed with them.

They had been so nice to her and gave her everything she wanted and Kelly also treated her as a sister and they became best of friends.

As they grew up, Krystal never hid anything from Kelly like wise her. Even then, when Brian had proposed to Krystal to be his girlfriend during their highschool time, Kelly was the only one who knew, that was until they were old enough for marriage and Brian proposed to her for marriage and her Aunt and Uncle became aware of her relationship with Brian.

And today was supposed to be her wedding day but she was getting an unexpected turn of events that she couldn't make clear of.

"What do you mean it's just an act, Aunt Madison?"Krystal asked with a low voice.

"Just shut up!" Brian snapped at her.

"Are you so stupid you can't understand what they've been saying? Look here, I can't marry you, I never will, you are not my type. I have never loved you, I only love Kelly. You see all those act we put on, it's just for you to sign those properties. Yes we all wanted you to sign those darn documents in our names before we reveal the truth, and you foolishly did."he smirked at her, one of victory, as if he had won a jackpot.

She remembered when Brian had said his company were having financial problems and he needed some money. She had thought it through and decided to share her wealth into two and give him one part of the wealth, since she was going to be his wife in a few days, and she did it out of love and pity for him.

But now, he is mocking all her kindness and love she had for him and also calling her a fool. She truly was a fool in love with the wrong person.

"Krystal" Jasmine called after being quiet from start.

"You see, I never liked you from start, I had always hated you, despised you.

While my brother and his lover were planning on how to ruin you, I was never in support of it. You know why? Cause I don't want you close to him, close to our family but I decided to play along so I can have that joy of seeing you break, ruined to the extreme" Jasmine smirked.

Though they were not so friendly to each other, but Krystal didn't mind much. Now that she's stating the obvious, she didn't feel hurt as much as what she received from all the people she had once loved wholeheartedly.

"Now you are to sign the documents of the estate that was gifted to you by your parents on your twelfth birthday. Sign them now into our names or you will regret it" Mrs Richard, Brian's mom threatened.

Krystal sniffed in.

"What did I do to you all to deserve this wickedness and betrayal. I had always done everything you asked me to without any complaints" she turned to Brian"I never thought you would betray me this way, all because of wealth."

Kelly scoffed.

"Just shut it"

"Give us those documents now." Kelly ordered in loud voice.

"No, never, you can't take everything and still expect me to give you those documents, never!"

Krystal yelled back and stepped back. She had to look for a way to run away from this terrible people before it's too late.

Thankfully no one was on her side and she quickly turned back and started running out of the church.

Aunt Madison saw through her intentions and called out to the bodyguards who were outside.

"Don't let her leave this place"Brian shouted as they chased after her.

Krystal ran in her heavy gown with all her might. She knows if they get their hands on her, she won't survive it.

With this in mind, she ran with more energy but blocked at the entrance by two hefty men clad in suits, the bodyguards.

"Don't let her out of here" she heard voices behind her and knew they were coming for her.

The bodyguards held her and she struggled from their grips but they weren't letting go.

She had to do anything to escape.

She kicked one in the groin and bit the other one on his hand. Fortunately they released her and she used the opportunity of getting away from there before the others get to her.

She continued running barefooted as her shoes had being pulled away from her legs while she was running.

They continued chasing after her and almost got to her.

She ran more but unfortunately hit something, making her stumble.
