Chapter 1 Chapter 1: Rejection

Emma’s POV

Today is my fourth wedding anniversary with Hector. I started preparing dinner early, hoping to surprise him. Even though he hasn't looked at me more than once in the past four years, and rarely even talks to me, I'm satisfied just to be his mate.

I pressed the thawed steak, well, it should be thawed and ready to start frying. I hummed the new Beyonce song, heated the oil, and added it to the pan. The steak crackled and popped in the pan. The aroma was overwhelming, and I was about to flip it over when footsteps came from behind me.

I froze for a moment. Hector was back so early today?

"Emma, I will reject you as my mate."

Hector's icy voice came from behind me. The hot oil splashed on my cheeks, but I didn't even feel the pain.

"We don't love each other and I didn’t mark you. Now it's four years, and it's time to end."

His voice was as cold as ice, with an air of alienation. I bit my lip, suppressing the sharp pain in my heart. This day finally came.

Four years ago, my pack, the Silver Moon Pack, was ruined in the Second Rogues War, and my parents were killed, leaving me alone as a rogue. My grandpa and Hector's grandpa were friends, and my grandpa once saved Hector's grandfather on the battlefield of the First Rogues War.

As he was dying, my grandpa was most worried about me, a wolf-less, who couldn't sense or be sensed as a mate. My grandpa thought as a werewolf, that's pathetic. He was afraid I would be lonely, so he entrusted me to old Mr. Saunders.

What a coincidence. An evil witch poisoned Hector at three. He's still solid and intelligent, but he lost the ability to sense his mate. Thus, there was this marriage.

However, I crossed the line and fell in love with Hector. I knew that was wrong, but it’s not up to me; it happened, like rain dropped to the ground. I used to think that as long as I played the role of Luna well, one day he would fall in love with me. However, in the end, he wanted to reject me.

"I'll give you eighty million and a house as compensation. This is the property gift agreement. Sign it."

Hector handed a stack of documents to me, and he was so indifferent as if we were discussing business. I took the agreement and looked at the numbers, sneering at the Blood Stone Pack, which was still as rich and powerful as ever.

"Do you really want to reject me?"

I stared at the man in front of me, my mate, my love, my star. He had an extremely handsome face, a tall and straight figure, and he was always serious.

"Yes."

There was no hesitation in Hector's indifferent tone. I guessed so, but I couldn't help feeling upset. But I didn't hesitate. Since he was so resolute, I should give up. I wouldn’t give him any chance to lower me more.

"Okay, I agree."

After signing my name on the agreement, I felt pain and release at the same time. What a wired experience? Hector showed a surprised face. I guessed that in his opinion, I had always been weak and indecisive, like a little rabbit without the ability to survive. So I would cry and beg him to let me stay. What a joke.

"As tradition, to reject the formal Luna, the ceremony should be held by the witness of the full moon and the Elders."

"I will notify you of the time. If possible, you'd better move out tonight."He said coldly and left the villa.

That night, the servants who usually didn't like me became even more arrogant when they knew I was rejected. They threw my luggage out of the villa.

"You've stayed in the Blood Stone Pack for four years. Now you are finally kicked out. You deserve it!"

The night was so cold, but I acted peacefully. I squatted on the ground to pick up my scattered clothes. It was extremely embarrassing, but I didn’t care. They were scumbags, and I wouldn't let myself be the laughing stock of them.

There was the sound of a car parking behind me, and a tall she-wolf got out of the car.

"Miss Wilson."

The servants who yelled at me just now stepped forward to help the she-wolf carry the luggage politely.

Thea Wilson raised her chin. "Be careful. My things are very expensive. You won't be able to pay for them if they break them."

My body froze.

No wonder Hector wanted me to move out tonight. There was another woman who would come here. What a jerk. And I was upset about such a man just now? I wanted to slap myself.

Thea walked up to me arrogantly.

"Are you Emma? Why are you still here?"

"Hector asked you to leave, but you are still here. How shameless you are!"

I ignored her and continued to pack my scattered luggage.

"Are you deaf? Can't you hear me talking to you?"

"Sorry, I didn't hear that."

I raised my head with a calm expression. "I only heard a dog barking."

"How dare you scold me! You wolf-less rogue!"

"I didn't scold you."

I dragged the suitcase and turned my head to Thea, who was standing in front of me. "Please make way."

"You!"

Thea stomped her feet, and her face turned pale.

Seeing this, the servants hurried forward to flatter Thea.

"Miss Green, calm down."

"You will be the Luna in the future."

"We have tidied up your room according to Alpha's order. I will take you to have a look right now."

Thea was happy again. She followed the servant into the villa, walked like a peacock. I was left in the wind.

Looking at this magnificent building, I had mixed feelings in my heart. It was ironic that I wasted four years here, but it ended up in such a mess.

"Goodbye. I reject the Blood Stone Pack and understand by doing so I will become a rogue."

Taking a deep breath, I left without looking back.

But Thea seemed determined to embarrass me, and I hadn't gone more than a few steps when she came after me with the maid.

"That Rogue, stop!"

That rogue?

I sneered at that title. I was quite fond of this new title.

I ignored Thea, who commanded the maids to stop in front of me.

I turned around coldly.

Thea put her arms around her chest and asked me condescendingly, "I just remembered something, I haven't checked your luggage. You're not sneaking anything that belongs to Hector, are you?"

My brow furrowed, "Are you saying that I'm a thief?"

"That's right!" Thea gestured, "Check the luggage, search your body, never let this thief steal anything that belongs to me, that belongs to Hector."

They had a cold smile on her face.

I smiled faintly and did not move a muscle. At the same time, a bright light came from afar, shining so brightly that Thea and the servants could not open their eyes. They raised their hands to block the light.

What followed was a yellow Lamborghini. The Lamborghini unceremoniously knocked over the maids who were in my way and stopped within easy reach of me. The spinning tires brought up a lot of stinky water, dirt, and garbage on the ground, splashing Thea all over, and turning her into soup.

"What the hell?? How dare you to do this in Blood Stone Pack's territory! Who are you!"

The driver of the Lamborghini ignored Thea and excitedly rushed out of the car, pulling open the passenger door for me.

"Emma, it's been four years, and you finally called me!"

Oscar Johnson had always been rebellious, but at this moment, he was very obedient, and his voice was very excited.

"I heard that you're rejected. Congratulations. You should've kicked Hector off a long time ago!"

"During the past few years when you were in The Blood Stone Pack, there were many legends about you. If those people know that you are the person they've tried to look for, they will be shocked."

"Stop." I had no mood to hear this, "Let's go. I am tired." I got in the car, Oscar immediately nodded obediently.

Thea wasn't dead yet and came after me, yelling, "You bitch! Don't run!"

Oscar slammed down on the gas pedal. The strong exhaust fumes caused Thea to cough violently. After that, the Lamborghini became a ray of light and shot up the highway ......

I refused Oscar's offer to let me stay in his villa and checked into a motel. I just got a text message, and it was sent by Hector.

"What did you do to Thea? You've changed. When did you become vicious and mean?"

What a joke. He thought I was vicious and mean. I sneered and gave him no explanation: "9 P.M. tomorrow at the Pack House. Don't be late."

It's time to end this.
