-Cine's POV-
I looked outside and Nathan was gone. He must have left before he saw me. I just sighed.
"See you around!" he said to me and suddenly left
"What the f*ck!" I just wanted to leave
I didn't even see his face. I only know his voice. Maybe we'll meet again. See you around. I'm excited that I thought we'd meet
When I came out of this room, I didn't see him anymore. I just went back to our classroom.
"Why didn't you immediately follow us?" Krystal asked me
Chapter 2: Unexpected Encounters
As the murmurs of confusion filled the cafeteria, my curiosity piqued. Who were the council, and why were they causing such a stir? I glanced at my friends, noticing their equally puzzled expressions.
"Who are they?" I whispered to May, hoping she might have some insight.
May shook her head, her brow furrowed in uncertainty. "I'm not sure. Maybe they're here for some announcement or event?"
Before we could speculate further, a hush fell over the cafeteria as a group of students dressed in formal attire entered. They exuded an air of authority, commanding attention with each step they took.
"They're from the Student Council," Yna whispered, her eyes widening in realization.
The Student Council! Suddenly, everything clicked into place. These were the student representatives tasked with organizing events, addressing concerns, and upholding order within the school.
As the Student Council members approached, I noticed one of them-a tall figure with confident strides and a determined expression. It was none other than Alex, the council president known for his charisma and leadership skills.
"Attention, students!" Alex's voice echoed through the cafeteria, cutting through the murmurs and chatter. "We have an important announcement to make."
The cafeteria fell silent as all eyes turned towards the council members, anticipation hanging in the air like a tangible presence.
"We're pleased to announce the upcoming Spring Festival," Alex continued, his voice projecting with enthusiasm. "It will be a week-long celebration filled with various activities, performances, and competitions."
Excitement rippled through the crowd at the mention of the festival. The Spring Festival was always a highlight of the school year, a time when students came together to showcase their talents and create lasting memories.
"In addition," Alex added, his gaze sweeping across the cafeteria, "we're introducing a new initiative-an outdoor dining area for students to enjoy their meals during lunch hours."
A collective gasp of surprise and delight echoed through the room. Outdoor dining? It was a revolutionary idea that promised to change the way students experienced lunchtime.
As the Student Council members concluded their announcement and began to depart, I exchanged excited glances with my friends. The prospect of outdoor dining and the upcoming Spring Festival filled us with anticipation and excitement for the weeks ahead.
As we left the cafeteria, the buzz of conversation and excitement followed us, signaling the beginning of a new chapter filled with adventure, camaraderie, and unexpected encounters.
Eager to discuss the exciting news of the Spring Festival and the prospect of outdoor dining, my friends and I made our way to our next class, our minds buzzing with anticipation. However, our excitement was short-lived as we encountered an unexpected obstacle.
As we entered the classroom, we were met with an unusual sight. The desks were arranged in a different configuration, and at the front of the room stood our teacher, Ms. Rodriguez, wearing a solemn expression.
"Please take your seats, everyone," Ms. Rodriguez said, her voice somber.
Confused, we obeyed, exchanging puzzled glances as we settled into our chairs. Something was amiss, and it didn't take long for Ms. Rodriguez to address the elephant in the room.
"I regret to inform you all that due to unforeseen circumstances, the Spring Festival will be postponed until further notice," she announced, her words hanging heavily in the air.
A collective sigh of disappointment swept through the classroom, mingled with murmurs of confusion and concern. The news was met with disbelief and disappointment, as the Spring Festival was a highly anticipated event that brought joy and excitement to the entire school community.
"What happened?" someone dared to ask, voicing the question that lingered on everyone's minds.
Ms. Rodriguez hesitated, her expression troubled. "There has been a logistical issue with securing the venue for the festival. The Student Council is working diligently to resolve the issue, but for now, we must be patient and understanding."
The disappointment in the room was palpable as the reality of the situation sunk in. The Spring Festival, which had promised to be a highlight of the school year, was now shrouded in uncertainty.
As the class continued, the atmosphere remained subdued, overshadowed by the disappointment of the festival's postponement. Despite our best efforts to focus on the lesson at hand, our minds kept drifting back to the excitement and anticipation that had been abruptly halted.
After class, my friends and I gathered outside the classroom, our expressions reflecting a mixture of disappointment and frustration.
"This is such a bummer," Yna exclaimed, echoing the sentiment shared by all of us.
"I was really looking forward to the festival," Krystal added, her disappointment evident in her voice.
"We'll just have to make the best of it," May said, trying to inject some optimism into the conversation. "Maybe the Student Council will come up with a solution soon."
With a shared nod of determination, we agreed to remain hopeful and supportive, knowing that despite the setback, the spirit of the Spring Festival would endure. As we parted ways, our thoughts turned to the challenges ahead and the resilience required to overcome them, knowing that together, we would navigate the unforeseen obstacles that lay ahead.
"I just went to the bathroom for a while!" I lied to them
"You sure?" May asked me seriously while examining my whole body
"W-why w-would I lie?" I stammered to them
"Why are you stuttering?" Yna asked
"Why are you asking questions?" I pretended to be annoyed and said to them
"Why are you sensitive?" May asked with a smile
"It's n-nothing!" I said and sat down in my chair
Meet my three best friends. Really g*g* no matter what is asked. It's hard for me to tell what happened earlier, right?
"Class dismissed!" said our teacher
"Goodbye ma'am!" we shouted
Thank you, our class is over this morning. I just put my things away.
"Let's go to the cafeteria!" Yna said
"Yeah I'm also hungry!" replied May
"Me too!" Krystal said while putting away my things
I was the first to walk out of the classroom earlier. I'm already hungry. I haven't eaten properly before.
"Cine, wait there!" I heard them shout May
"Faster I'm hungry!" I called them
Maybe we won't be able to sit in the cafeteria because they are slow to move.
"You're hungry!" Yna said laughing
When we got to the cafeteria, I was right in my suspicion that there would be nowhere for us to sit.
"Did I already say that?" I complained
"It's been a while since you've been there!" said May
"It took you so long to act!" Yna also complained
"Where are we going to eat now?" Krystal asked while looking at the tables
"Let's eat outside!" I told them
"It's a good idea but it's still class hours we're not allowed to go out now!" explained May
Why does the school have such rules? We are really hungry. We are just standing here outside the cafeteria.
We were about to leave when the students here started shouting.
"The council's here!"
"What are they doing here?"
"It's impossible!"
I heard people whispering here. Hmmm council? Who is that?
