The kindhearted Li Ling was that person.
That raw rotten taste of betrayal, disappointment, agony, anguish; you name it. All those sour feelings flooded and crushed Li Ling's heart.
Her soft heart brought doom to her and her entire family just because she couldn't look away and pretend her little innocent eyes never saw anything that unfriendly cold winter morning, on her way to school.

At 9 am in Doctor Zhang's office.
"Young Madam, are you alright?"
Li Ling stared at Doctor Zhang as if she was looking at a clown. Her large watery eyes carried the weight of sadness and fear.
How dare he ask her such a question?
After three minutes crashed, Li Ling released the words that were stuck in the back of her throat. "Do you think I would be alright after telling me that something's wrong with my babies?" Her voice slightly trembled.
She looked tired and weak like she would faint at any second. Doctor Zhang's words were like a rain of bullets that went right through her heart.
The doctor who was shaken bit his tongue and was quiet for five seconds before stuttering in an apologetic tone, "Forgive me, Young Madam, it was careless of me to speak out of line." As if afraid he would be eaten alive, doctor Zhang quickly lowered his head guiltily like a disobedient child.
Looking at the one's cheerful expectant young mother who had a wide beautiful smile on her face just a while ago, sent an invisible arrow straight to the doctor's heart. He painfully watched as the smile slowly faded from Li Ling's exquisite face.
Li Ling sniffled, dabbing her eyes with dry tissue. "What are my babies diagnosed of?" It was very difficult for her to ask. She sounded broken as if she would burst into tears the next moment.
Her small fair hands which covered her huge baby bump under the table trembled uncontrollably.
Fear has risen to her head making her feel a little dizzy.
"This…" Doctor Zhang broke down in a cold sweat. How was he going to break such a piece of terrible news to a mother? His eyes avoided Li Ling's curious and impatient eyes like a thief caught stealing. "Young Madam, we have sent a message to Young Master Wu. As a mother, it would be best if you hear it from your husband. At least you would have a close companion to share it with."
A close companion to share it with? Was that even possible?
Doctor Zhang's words only amplified Li Ling's worries. She wouldn't know how to live if anything were to happen to her babies.
