Possession of alpha << You are mine, princess. During the next two months, this body belongs to me, and you will not give it to any other man. I have every centimeter of this body. >> * Mireille was a wise girl all her life, protected by her brother Alpha until he went on a trip for three months. She must then stay with her brother's best friend, whom she has not seen since high school. Mireille thinks that she will finally be released from the protective surveillance of her brother, but she is heavily mistaken, because her brother's best friend is even more protective and possessive ... an amplified version of her brother. Mireille wants to hate him, but it seems impossible in front of a man as intense and attractive as Dante Romano. Hot, possessive and ruthless alpha, Dante tries to see it only as the sister of her best friend. But this resolution breaks with each thrill that runs through their bodies during their contacts. She is her innocent princess and she is supposed to remain him, but when desire intensifies, she becomes much more than that: his wife, her possession, the princess of this alpha with burning temperament.

Chapter 1 Chapitre 1

Chapter 1

Mireille heaved a deep sigh before looking up at the large building that rose in front of her. Dante's house seemed imposing, almost intimidating, with its dark stones and elegant but cold structure. She clutched the handle of her suitcase, hesitant, still wondering if she had made the right choice in agreeing to stay with him for these three months. But she didn't really have a choice, did she? Her brother had insisted, arguing that Dante was the ideal man to watch over her in her absence.

When she rang the doorbell, a loud thud echoed from inside, and she felt her heart speed up. Since high school, she hadn't really had the opportunity to see Dante again, and she wondered what had become of him. She remembered him as her brother's best friend, protective but a little withdrawn. However, seeing the way he now ran his own empire, she understood that the discreet teenager had given way to a resolute and authoritarian man.

The door opened suddenly, and Dante appeared in the doorway, tall and imposing, wearing a black shirt that showed off his broad shoulders and athletic figure. His dark eyes scanned her from top to bottom, that piercing gaze that seemed to probe into the very souls of those he passed. A cold shiver ran down Mireille's spine.

- Mireille, he whispered, his voice deep and slightly hoarse. Welcome.

She hesitated, then showed a shy smile.

- Hello, Dante. Thank you for welcoming me.

He stepped aside to let her in, and as soon as she set foot in the hall, she was enveloped by an atmosphere that was both elegant and severe, a sort of heavy calm, as if every object, every piece of furniture in this house had only been placed there to demonstrate the rigid character of its owner. She immediately felt a feeling of discomfort settle inside her.

- Put your suitcase here, he indicated with a curt gesture. We'll discuss the rules before you start exploring the house.

Mireille raised an eyebrow. Rules? She didn't expect Dante to take this responsibility so seriously. She had thought he would give her some freedom, but just the look on his face told her she was wrong.

- Um... Periods? she asked, putting her suitcase in the corner, trying to hide her confusion behind a smile.

He crossed his arms over his chest, his eyes fixed on her with an intensity that almost made her sway.

- Listen, Mireille, your brother entrusted me with your safety during his absence. That means you are my responsibility. And for this to go well, it is essential that certain rules are respected.

She felt a mixture of annoyance and curiosity rising within her. She didn't need rules imposed on her, especially not at her age. But seeing the determination on Dante's face, she knew he wouldn't let her get away so easily.

- Very good, she sighed. So...what are these rules?

Dante gave him a look that spoke volumes about his limited patience.

- Rule number one: You inform me of all your movements. No way are you going out without telling me where you're going, with whom, and how long you plan to stay out. Clear ?

She frowned, feeling a wave of rebellion awaken within her.

- Are you kidding? I feel like I'm fifteen now. I'm an adult, Dante. I have the right to do what I want.

He raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by her attempted challenge.

- Exactly, you are an adult, but you are here under my responsibility. This is not negotiable, Mireille. If you have a problem with that, the door is there, he replied in a calm but firm voice.

She gritted her teeth, realizing he wasn't joking. The gentle and discreet man she had known seemed to have disappeared for good, giving way to an inflexible Dante, with a piercing gaze and authoritarian manner.

- Very good, she replied, clenching her fists. And what else? Because I assume you have a whole list of these... rules.

He smirked, as if he had been waiting for this reaction.

- The second rule is simple: no guests without my permission. I don't want strangers wandering around here without me knowing.

- Great... she breathed, rolling her eyes. I'm not sure my brother would have forced all that on me.

Dante stared at her with an intensity that almost made her take a step back.

- Your brother is not here, and it is I who am responsible for you, Mireille. So whether you like it or not, it's up to me.

She felt a surge of anger rise within her. She wasn't a kid anymore, and yet he seemed determined to treat her like one.

- And if I don't follow your rules, what happens? she asked, her tone a little provocative.

Dante approached slowly, closing the distance between them. He looked into hers with his dark eyes, and for a moment she felt strangely uneasy. A mixture of fear and attraction that she didn't understand.

- If you don't follow the rules, Mireille, you will suffer the consequences. And believe me, you don't want to know what that means.

She looked at him, trying to detect a trace of joke in his eyes. But nothing. He was serious, almost too serious. A shiver ran through her, and she forced herself to look away, disturbed.

She tried to regain control of her emotions by taking a deep breath.

- Very good, Dante. I guess I get it.

He seemed satisfied with her answer and finally stepped back, giving her some space to breathe.

- Perfect. Your brother and I agreed on these rules for a reason, Mireille. This is not to imprison you, but to ensure your safety.

She nodded, although she wasn't convinced. Safety, really? She found it hard to believe that these rigid rules were necessary. But she didn't want to argue any further.

- If that's all, I'm going to put my things in my room, she announced, taking her suitcase.

He nodded, but just as she was about to go up the stairs, he called her.

- Mireille.

She turned around, a little annoyed.

- What else?

He stared at her intently, his gaze serious and piercing.

- Don't you dare challenge me. I'm not kidding about your safety.

She swallowed, feeling how determined he was to keep his promises. He was no longer the boy she had once known. Dante had become a man, a man who knew what he wanted and who had no intention of letting himself be walked on.

- Okay, she replied more calmly.

She finally went up the stairs, her heart still beating a little too fast. She wondered how she was going to survive these three months in the presence of such an authoritarian man. But a small voice inside her couldn't help but admit that, despite everything, there was something fascinating about Dante, a magnetic aura that disturbed her.

Arriving in her room, she placed her suitcase on the bed and looked around. The room was soberly decorated, but everything exuded discreet luxury. She approached the window, lost in thought. She wondered how she was going to endure these three months under Dante's piercing gaze.

A slight shiver ran through her as she remembered the closeness of his face when he approached her in the hall. This feeling she had felt... a combination of tension and attraction, strange and unexpected. She shook her head, refusing to let him bother her. He was her brother's best friend, and there was no way she was going to be impressed.

But deep down, a tiny part of her couldn't ignore the way her heart beat a little harder every time he met her gaze. She sighed, promising herself to stay strong, no matter how intimidating Dante might be.

Three months, she thought as she sat down on the bed, her fingers clenching the edge of the mattress. Just three months. She could do it...
