Meryl is a woman who has been through alot in life , Starting with her ongoing divorce and her crazy ex husband with a five year old girl to care for which made life harder than expected . She was left in a dillema trying to figure out what to do . Unexpected twist happens when she is left alone to fend on herself and her child as the Christmass approaches slowly and an illness unfolds unexpectedly draining her mentally and physically . Will she give up even after meeting the handsome disguised school teacher or will the sparks fly ?
Chapter 1 Pain
Jones I already told you that we can't get divorced !! Meryl yelled whispered lolwly at her so called husband who sat on the edge of the bed pissed .
May is still young, wh..what are we going to tell her ? You never came home these past few months and when you are finally here ,you are asking for a divorce yet we have never talked !
I can't understand !! But why ? We have been waiting for your arrival but ... "But here you are --"
You don't get to tell me what to do here , He interruoted her spitefully . I gave you f*cking every thing you needed , the only work that you were supposed to do is to give me pleasure and act like a good wife which clearly you aren't doing a good job at, and you are forgetting that you have already bored me with your heinous excuses every day ,
"I can't this today !! I can't that !! " Bla bla !! Let's go on a date .. let's go on a shit !!
I am already tired and I would like to divorce you , you are no use to me anymore !! You have already swimmed into the wealth long enough and it's about time you let the other women who give me the thrill to enjoy what you had once !! Her husband spat out disgustingly . In reality May never used a penny that he has given her but stored all in their daughter's funds .
She needed no money but only his love ... Which she rarely got and has always been the lost case as she keeps on coming back and chasing it like a love sick puppy .
And indeed , it backfired ! Her hardwork backfired , her naievity , calmness and her big beautiful heart was broken .
"Broken into pieces .."
Meryl couldn't help but cry from the insults that she was being given ! Holding her head in between her palms, and sniffling while closing her eyes tiredly .
I loved you Jones .. I .. I do .. I still do i swear , .. She cried helplessly begging him for the thousands time .
Please don't leave me and May ! Please think about her if not me .. please ! I know you don't love me ...b..but please
"I don't care Meryl anymore ," I have lost feelings for you .. I .. I .. just don't want you anymore .
" Like has he ever for once felt anything for her , ?" Did he ??... She thought as she lifted her head and hated at him sadly , pitying her broken heart
You are an amazing mother to our child , you can keep her and divorce papers will follow you soon as I need to meet up with my girlfriend .Jones said coldly looking at his watch and later to his phone . A small smile stretched on his lip as a notification sounded on his phone .
He stood up heartlesly and left the room leaving the crying Meryl on the floor of their bed crying her heart out sobbing with a heavy stabbing pain that shot through her chest .
This was it ... It was their last time meeting with him , He is already taken by a beautiful woman who is rich as him and classy before divorce itself, Meryl thought ,
Not to a trash like her just like how he used to judge her who did nothing but cause trouble since she was brought in the mansion.
"What did I do to deserve all this ? "She asked herself as she bawled her eyes out , her thin body shaking on the featherly carpet.

She cried for her misery and all the troubles that she has been facing . Later on after a good hour of crying, she decided to stand up and clean herself up as her daughter would return anytime now from school .
She loves her daughter to death , nothing has ever been keeping her sane more than her .She didn't want either to show her that she was sad sick and tired nor the sleepless nights becuase of her dad , And instead she smiled through the sadness every day for six month as she swallowed and drained in the pain as her husband's song of divorce and separations started .
Now that he was kin to his decision , Meryl has to find a way to tell her daughter that her mommy and daddy are going to be living separately soon .
Which would be really hard to her as she genuinely love her husband dearly , she has never expected that something like this would happen in her life yet again ,
She has always been ... Obidient to him , maybe she needs to change ? For him ? But it's too late to do so sadly .
'' it will be alright !" I promise . She kept on mutturing to herself as she cleaned her face which had uncontrollable tears coming off from her .
Taking a towel , she wiped her face and looked herself on the mirror hesitantly ,She got a little startled looking at the figure of a broken soul on it ,
" Do I look this ugly ?" She thought and furrowed her eyebrows .
Should I be blamed that my beauty is fading and all that's being seen is the bony structure that has nothing but pain and miseries ? She asked herself as she traced her heart shaped face on the mirror , and tried to brush her long thick brown hair slightly while her hazel eyes carelessly wondered on the mirror .
She didn't realize that she sat too long staring on her refelction until she heard the honk of the car indicating that May was home .
She tried smiling numerous times , first second and the third . When she caught the familiar fairness of her face she got out ready to meet her little daughter ,
""it's you who I always care about my baby , You will be the only one having my smile as we are meant to be together always . "
Mommy .. May's squeal was heard from downstairs , Meryl ran through the stairs and took her on her embrace , even in her age she couldn't help but spoil her. She has always love her daughter as she has never gotten the raise and care and attention of her father , she really wished that one day he could see that he was losing something by ignoring her own daughter , But... Every thing went downhill when Jones met new powerful people and beautiful women who escorted him to the midnight parties .
I love you so much darling ..Meryl whisperd unknowingly .
I will always love you too mommy .. May who heard answered grinnigly and made Meryl heart to twist with so much joy and pain that both passed within her .
Come , let me give you a bath .. She whispered carrying her to the bathroom after kissing and admiring her face and forehead sweetly with a small genuine smile .
"Yes mommy .. " May replied filling the small part of her mother with a little warmth .
