Karen's POV

And now, I was back to take revenge on the Silverado family. As I stood in front of their mansion, tears filled my eyes. Everything they did to me when I worked for them haunted me.

They would drug me and have sex with me without my consent. I was tricked into working as a sex slave for them. I was made to serve different men everyday and would be beaten if any of the men complained about my services.

I was taught to leave a scared life by these monsters who never regarded me as a person. They would maltreat me at the slightest opportunity they got.

With my new hairstyle, they would never be able to recognize me. I was ready to bring them to justice even if I die in the process. I was determined to stop the activities of recruiting girls as sex slave for their sex club.

I took a bus to Lisa's house, she had invited me to come visit her. Her husband had traveled for the new year holiday so I had called her earlier and she had agreed to let me stay at her house.

As soon as I arrived in front of her house, I paid the bus man and came down. I quickly walked into her compound and knocked on the door.

When she finally opened the door, she couldn't hide her excited expression. "Who would have thought you would ever come back to Los Angeles? I thought you said you'd die if you came back." She teased me jokingly and I laughed.

"I guess I have some unfinished business to do. I can't just leave without making sure the people who raped and tried to kill me are dead."

As she ushered me into her house, I began to feel a certain type of fear. The Silverado's were people that everyone feared and wouldn't want to mess with. Was I really ready to go up against them?

"Are you sure you want to really go on with your revenge plans? That would be like committing suicide. Those monsters are too powerful to take on."

"Believe me, I'm ready for anything that comes my way. I'll make them pay for their sins and make them regret trying to kill me."

She walked towards her fridge and brought out a bottle of wine which she poured into two glasses and placed them at the dining table. I joined her and held my glass staring at her face. Was I really ready for this?

A lot of things were going through my mind at that exact moment and I wondered if I was really ready to have my revenge on them for ruining my career and life.

I was comfortable with my former life of working as a waitress when I was approached by Andrew Silverado..

Flashback.

After taking the menu list from Amanda, I walked to the two guests that just came in and smiled at them. "Hi, welcome to Donna's restaurant, I'm Karen, What would you like to have?" I asked them politely and handed the menu to them.

"Honey, I want fried rice and chicken, I also want braised rice with chicken stew. For my drink, I'd like to have mixed fruit juice and also, how could I forget my lovely desert? I'll have cream caramel and....."

The man cut in. "She's just kidding, she'll just have only ice cream."

My eyes widened. Wow, she was extravagant and he was ......

Why didn't he tell her his budget before bringing her to an expensive restaurant?

"No babe, I'm not kidding. I really want all those things I mentioned." She said with confidence, lacing her words.

I discovered that he didn't have enough cash to buy all those expensive meals so I decided to help him out. "I'm sorry but we don't have the meals you mentioned. We only have ice cream for now." I told her.
