Princess POV
"Grrrrrrrrr..." My alarm blarred loudly in the room, jolting me back from my deep sleep and sweet dream.
"Hmph!" I huffed and groaned angrily, grabbing the alarm clock and throwing it across the room.
"Princess Princess..." That was my brother, Kingsley. He kept yelling my name from outside and I groaned, covering my ears with the duvet. Can't he just let me have a peaceful sleep?
"Are you going to leave that room or should I come drag you out?" His voice echoes in the room, with the door banging hard and I know that he is already in my room.
"Are you a Joy killer, man?" I yanked the duvet off my face, giving him the glare of his life.
"I don't know why I have to wake you up every morning, when I'm not babysitting a child. I'm sure you're gonna come back home crying your eyes out that you've been sacked. Until then, I'll be here to watch you," He rolled his eyes and pulled a puzzled look. Honestly, I do not understand what he's saying.
"What..."
"I'm off," He cuts me off, leaving the room. Ruffling my hair angrily, my eyes darted to the wall clock and I almost screamed at the top of my voice. I'm already late for work. My manager is surely going to sack me today and nobody is going to save me.
Jumping off the bed, I dash into the bathroom to do my usual morning routine, except for taking my bath. You're not expecting me to bath, knowing that I'm already late, right?
My name is Princess Walker. I know you may be wondering if I'm royalty, that's totally out of it. That's my name, the one my parents gave me. Maybe because they cherished me so much. I am the second child of my family, Kingsley is my only brother and the only family I have.
"Princess, get the heck out of there now, you wouldn't want me coming in there again, right?" Kingsley yelled from outside. He may be thinking that I'm still sleeping. Hell no!
Dashing into the room, I rack through my wardrobe and brought out a blue turtle neck shirt and a purple jean trouser. I know you may be thinking 'what kind of crazy dress is that' well, sorry to disappoint you, but this is who I am. I am weird and I know it. My style of dressing is different from every other normal persons.
I opened the door to go out, but flinched as I was welcomed by the angry looking Kingsley, standing in front of my door like he was going to devour me. What do I expect when I have no family, and the only brother I have is almost like a devil? Taunting me everytime.
"Uhm...good morning Kings..."
"I pray you don't come back crying later, because I'm sure your manager won't spare you this time around," He scoffed and walked away while I just stood like the fool that I am. He's always like this. I head to work afterward...

A taxi pulled over beside the road and seconds later, Princess hopped from it and paid the cabby, hurrying to the restaurant afterward.
"Morning," She greets her colleague, Cecilia as soon as she entered the restaurant.
"Morning Princess. The manager said that you should meet him in his office," The Cecilia girl said to Princess. She is busy cleaning wine glass.
"Hope there's no problem?" Princess asks nervously.
"I don't know, but I will advise you to go see him first," Cecelia replies to her, and she nods her head before making her way to the manager's office, praying that she doesn't receive the horrible news of her life. Getting sacked is the last thing on her mind, and she'll do anything to prevent that from happening. This job is the only means of survival that she has.
"Gosh! I hate her so much, she just likes coming late to work and letting me do whole chores as if she's the only one that has something to do back at home and I do not," Cecelia said and hissed out loud.
She walks nervously along the hallway, praying inside her that nothing goes wrong, knowing that it'll be the end of her. She walks in on a young looking guy, sitting behind a desk while scribbling down something on a paper. He raises his gaze to glare at her as soon as she walks inside.
"Good morning, Sir," She greets him nervously. Fear written all over her.
"You came late again. Do you ever do anything else other than coming late to work and bringing up lame excuses? I'm sick and tired of this whole thing. Are you ready to work here at all?" He bangs his hands on the desk, and she flinch nervously.
"I'm sorry, Sir. It won't happen again..."
"Exactly what you've said many times and I'm tired of your excuses already. Do you want to work here at all?" He questions angrily again, and she nod quickly.
"Of course, Sir. I really want to work..."
"This will be your last chance. Do this again, and you're kissing your job goodbye. Now get the heck out of my office, this minute!" He points to the door, glaring hard at her.
"Thank you, Sir..."
"You're going to serve all the customers later. Now leave," He finally said and she hurried out of the office, releasing the breath she had been holding unknowingly, once she got outside.
She rushes into the canteen to serve the customers.
"Hello miss, are you ready to take your orders, please?" She walks over to a table where a young lady wearing a mask was sitted, and greets her but she chose to ignore her greetings instead.
