"Ivana we both know it's past six in the morning and we need to get to work. Maybe today

something good will come out of it." I call out to a sleepy Ivana

"Why do you have to be at a jewelry store this early?" Ivana cried out

"Because it's when the rich come to shop, it's always an opportunity for me to meet some man

so we could live a better life"

"Ugh!!" Ivana groans loudly, sitting up and scrubbing the sleep off her face with a frown.

I decide to take a bath and brush my teeth, leaving Ivana to get ready for the day.

After, I go ahead to brew some coffee for myself and Ivana alongside microwaving the leftover

bacon and eggs from the previous morning which Ivana lazily kept in the fridge.

This was the simplicity of our morning routine.

Ivana comes in with a book in her hand, and a tote bag filled with books in the other

We sit down and always have conversations about the day.... It was more like our own daily

affirmations before leaving the house.

"Bye" I waved at Ivana when it was time for us to take our separate routes to our workplace.

I was always the first to come into the "El Gus Van Perfume Store" so I opened the door and got

to cleaning. Cleaning was not part of my job description but it just sort of made me able to get

my mind off the job outline.

I had finished with the cleaning and was sitting at the reception when two men who reeked of

wealth walked into the store.

"Hello good morning, and welcome" I greeted with a smile

"Morning," the taller one replied. And brought out his phone to show me a picture of the

perfume...

I was grateful my feet didn't deny me cause he looked like a semi god... he would be perfect to

be called my 5foot 9 semi god.

"Ummm" the other one cleared his throat after he caught me smiling in thoughts.

"Oh I'm sorry, we don't have this exact one yet, we're restocking soon, but I can interest you to

some perfumes which you might be interested in"

"Ugh! I've sent my assistant to every perfume store, and they don't have it, I had to come by

myself to shop for it" He exclaimed calmly with a hint of disappointment to his tone

"I'm really sorry about that Sir, it's a really rare perfume but there are some scents I can interest

you to, maybe it'll be better than the one you want. Should I get the perfume samples?" I asked,

fingers crossed

"Let me see what you have" He said

I bring out a couple of luxurious perfume samples and place them on the paper for him to pick

He inhales the paper and nods his head in agreement "oh, this is good" he moans in satisfaction

and it makes me smile.

"This is one of our exquisite scents, very rare, we have some more if you want" I smile boldly,

proud!

Definitely asking my boss for a raise I think to myself

"Well, do you have a business card?" He asks

"Ummm..... nope... never thought to have a personal one, but yes the company has a business

card" I sigh, face palming myself internally as I point to a stack of business cards lying lazily at

the end of the counter

"I want yours" he smiles
