REVENGE AND THE QUEST FOR BLOOD

Chapter 1

Thunderstorm clapped ferociously, heralding the dawn of a new season in ishtarwood. It was the seventh year of the reign of the sun god who Looked over the city. He was a kind of monarch even though he wasn't one. His sole duty was to guide and protect the people from harm.

"Hush! I can hear some sounds!" A young lady waved her hand at some men stood transfixed behind her. They were as silent as a corpse as they watched. They stared at her in admiration, wondering how she grew to be so brave even at her tender age. She was barely nineteen but had the bravery of a centurion.

"What is it you see Lucia?" One of the men with her queried when a minute passed and there still was no response from her. One of them Placed a hand on her shoulder, a gesture she responded to with a hard frown

"It's a bear! It's coming this way!" She warned at once but it was too late. The bear had bounced on one of her and was gashing his body into unequal pieces.

Lucia felt her blood boil as she Charged right at the beast, burying her spear right in its ear until it reached its brains.

The huge beast struggled to free itself from the clutches of her spear while trying to attack her, but it just couldn't. Lucy held still with all her might as others had joined her immediately. Seconds later, the best dropped to the floor, dead.

Blood- as thick as phylegm flowed from the bowels of the great beasts through the sandy area of the forest. The sun whipped right at them with reckless abandon, not giving a damn as to whether they appreciated it's presence or not.

"Check him at once!" She instructed as she took out her sword from the bear and wiped it with some palm fronds.

One of her men Rushed towards the one sprawled out on the forest floors and placed his ear to his chest. He could hear nothing but the rustling sound of breeze as it swept through the forest. "He's dead. He's being greatly mauled by the bear, so I doubt if he'd have survived anyways."

Lucy felt a sharp pain in her heart as she tried to process those words but she Just couldn't. He was one of the most loyal men she had and now he's gone, within the space of one minute. It hurt her badly but there was nothing she could do. He's dead and her hurting wouldn't bring him back to Life.

"What are we to do ma'am? We need to get back to the city as early as possible and we are still a Little far off!"

"There are eleven of you here. I need three of you to carry the beast and then two of you carry his corpse, the rest should stand at alert as we move. This is a forest and anything can happen in the course of our movement," she said to them without sparing a glance. The last thing sue wanted was for them to see her face. She couldn't bear for them to see how badly she was hurting within her...

"Noted ma," they Chorused as they did as instructed. They progressed with their journey, uttering not a single word to another until they neared the mouth of the forest. Only the rustling sound of their feet against the grasses could be heard as they went.

Unveiled before them wothin seconds was the magnificent city that belonged to her mother. She was the daughter of the goddess. A smile formed on her face as she saw the light from the city. She could also hear their dancing and singing just the way they do when a new season is approaching.

"We are here already ma'am. Hurray!!" One of them flew to his feet at once like he had just won the lottery. Lucy smiled at it without uttering a word. She was to exhausted to speak and only wanted to get some rest. It's been fourteen days, fourteen days they've been away. She was a witch but witches surely needs to rest as well and that was exactly what she needed.

"I am Lycaon! I am the greatest of all!" He thundered as he pranced around the room, his head banging. He couldn't control his anger one bit but then there was nothing he could do about it. He had no army, no soldier neither does he have the money to do any of those... He fell heavily into the chair as he stared into oblivion.

The Air blowing was so cool that within seconds, he had fallen asleep and was snoring peacefully.

"Mum! Mum! No, let go of my mom at once!" His voice rang in the air. He could see them- heavily built men with Broad soldiers. They had taken his father and sliced his head Like it was no more than a loaf of bread with blood flowing down all at once. Fear gripped him at once as the seen flashed right through him... Blood... Blood... Head.. his father's head and blood.

He felt a strong urge to throw up, but nothing found its way out. It was kinda strange because he also wanted to die. He couldn't bear to lose his father and then remain alive. They came again for his mother and that was when his cry intensified. He remembered. His mother was pregnant... Pregnant with the younger brother he so badly wanted.. he knew, because she had told him that. He felt the whole turning right in his presence.

He raced forward as he tried to prevent them from hurting his mother but he was no match for even one of them as they grabbed him off like he was no more than a broom stick. He watched them place her on the platter with a soldier holding her head in front so she doesn't move.

"I want a clean sweep. Absolutely clean!!" He heard a voice roar to the men who were busy With his mother. He turned his head and found out it was the king. His anger intensified but he still could do nothing.

He gazed right at his mother as he continued to struggle with the men holding him down. "Do take care of yourself Lycaon!" He heard his mother's whispering voice. He gave no damn about himself at that moment. All he cared for was her safety and that was all that mattered to him. He wanted her safe and alive, but then if wishes were horses, men would ride.

Before he could say jack Robinson, the executioner had raised the sword over his mother's head and brought it down at once with all his might.

"Mother!!" He yelled with all his might as tears flowed freely down his face. He had lost everything including the will to live.

Her head rolled and rolled until it stopped at his feet. He was terrified as he broke away from his assailants, and picked his mother's head.

"Get that head here at once!" The kinf thundered and within seconds, the soldiers had pulled it from his hand.

He jerked awake suddenly, panting heavily like one who had been in a hot pursuit. Perspiration trickled down his face as he pondered on the dream he just awoke from. The scene was clear in his eyes, as clear as the water from the stream. It's been ten years since it happened, but he could never forget.

"And what's the Problem? Why are you sweating profusely? You've been having nightmares right?" She queried with her hands akimbo. She was his fiancée or better to say, fuck mates... She planted a kiss on his cheek as her boobs came in contact With his hands. He placed a hand on it but he felt nothing. Perhaps, it was the need to be solemn at that moment that him uninterested.

"Anything for dinner? I'm damned hungry!" He asked as he moved his hand to her ass, fondling With reckless abandon.

"Sure. I made something and I'm extremely sure you'd love it!" She giggled as she scurried off. He watched her as she left, her ass swaying from left to right. He couldn't help it one bit as he imagined how his life would be without those boobs and ass to comfort him.

It was night and one thing Lycaon couldn't understand was how fast it transcended from day to night and then vice versa. He just couldn't understand. It was kinda weird for him to sleep and within what he considers two hours, it's morning. He got so deep in thought that he didn't hear the rustling of feet at the back of his house.

"What would you like on top of your meal?" His fiancée asked from where she was, dishing his meal..

"Anything available..." He responded and had barely done that when he felt a gun right at his head.

"You should take something more because this Will be your last day hear on earth!" The response came to him as a shock.
