Chapter One

I Am The Devil!

"What did you say?" Alexa Young asked. She was leaning against her office chair with her eyes shut tightly. She looked like she didn't have a care in the world. There was a satisfied smile on her face. If someone who didn't know her saw her tight now, there is no way they'd be able to connect the Alexa of now to the frightening woman who has struck fear in the hearts of everyone in City X.

"What did you say?" Alexa Young asked. She was leaning against her office chair with her eyes shut tightly. She looked like she didn't have a care in the world. There was a satisfied smile on her face. If someone who didn't know her saw her tight now, there is no way they'd be able to connect the Alexa of now to the frightening woman who has struck fear in the hearts of everyone in City X.

"Your father....he called...he said....he said that you should come home for dinner" Lina, Alexa's personal assistant said. She was shivering in fear as she stood straight in front of Alexa. Lina knows that Alexa doesn't have a good relationship with her father. In fact, she seems to completely hate him. Telling her this will surely make her lose her temper but she doesn't have a choice. She is just a lowly assistant and she can only do as she is told.

Alexa's eyes snapped open at once. It was impossible to read what was going on in her mind. She looked at Lina with a slight smile.

"Lina, you've worked for me for three years. Don't you know what you should do and what you shouldn't do?" Alexa asked.

Lina swallowed a gulp. "The chairman...your father called and said that you must come!" Lina said. She was going to address Peter Young, Alexa's father as chairman but she changed her mind at the last second. Peter Young used to be the CEO of YN Group. But his daughter Alexa kicked him out of the board and took away all of his shares and decision making power from him ruthlessly. She left him no way for retreat at all. Calling him chairman...will definitely make Alexa angry.

Besides, it wasn't as if she didn't know the story of Alexa Young. Her father is a jerk, and he deserves every single thing that has happened to him!

"He asked me to come? It seems that you keep forgetting who you work for Lina. Do you need me to transfer you to the old house so you can work there? I think that they are short ot maids there!" Alexa said with a slight smile on her face. Saying such cruel words with a smile on her extremely beautiful face was enough to make anyone shudder in fear.

Lina was close to tears now but she knew better than to cry. What Alexa hates the most are women who cry at the slightest thing. "I'm sorry.... I'm really sorry...I'll call him and tell him that you won't be able to make it!" Lina said. Peter had yelled at her over the phone and for a second she lost her mind.

Alexa waved her hand. "Forget it. Since he wants to see me so badly, I'll go see him then. After all, it's been a long time since I've seen my dear father and sister" Alexa said. She was really looking forward to torturing those people. She already let them off but since they don't know how to retreat, she will teach them how to!

"Dad... do you think that Alexa is going to come?" Reina asked. Her heart was pounding fast. She was worried that Alexa won't come and she was worried that Alexa will come . Her mind was a mess. The past few years of dealing with Alexa has showed her that that woman can never be underestimated. She is completely ruthless and will do anything to get back at people who offended her.

When she first moved into this house with her mother, she thought that Alexa is an easy target to bully. She set her up plenty of times and had even stolen her boyfriend from her. She thought that she will be able to trample on Alexa for the rest of her life.

But later events proved that she just didn't want to bother with her. She thought that by kicking Alexa out of this house she will finally be rid of her. Reina didn't know back then that that day will be the beginning of her misery.

In the end, Reina and her mother had to kneel and beg Alexa so that they will survive. She still got married to Ivan, but the marriage wasn't what she was expecting at all. She was dreaming of a blissful married life with the man that she loves but now....

Reina looked down and touched her slightly bulging stomach. She never thought that she will become so pitiful in her life. In the end, she resorted to marrying because of a child!

Alexa has really ruined her! And the worst part is that there is nothing, absolutely nothing that she can do about it!

Peter frowned when he heard this. He knew best what his relationship with Alexa is like. She clearly hates him. That is a fact.

Back then...he made a lot of mistakes...he thought that he will be able to make both his daughters live in peace and he ended up being biased. But she has already ruined thier lives...now they have to survive on her mercy...she won't hate him so much right?.

"She's still our family member after all...she has to come" Peter said.

Reina clenched her fists, doing everything to hide what she was feeling inside. Family? Does Alexa even consider any one of them here family?!

"Where is Ivan? Didn't he come today?" Peter asked. At least he still has this son in law. Alexa might have ruined everything for Reina but at least she let her keep the marriage.

Reina bit her lips when Ivan was mentioned. She knew...that he wants nothing more than to get rid of her right now!

"He...is still busy working in the company. He will come soon!" Reina said.

Peter looked at his daughter and shook his head. Before, Ivan was so in love with Reina. He will drop whatever he's doing to accompany her. But now...

He didn't want to say much in the presence of outsiders so he just patted his daughter's back.

However, Kate, Reina's mother, wasn't willing to give up the issue like this.

"Ivan should accompany you more! After all, you are pregnant with his child!" Kate said angrily. Even though she knew that her daughter's marriage was based on a pregnancy, she still could not help feeling bad. No one forced him to break up with Alexa back then. He is the one who chose Reina. So why is he acting like they owe him something?!

Peter looked at the mother and son pair who were seated in the living room with an awkward smile on his face and he nudged Kate's legs under the table. It's okay if she isn't embarrassed, but she should not embarrass thier family in front of outsiders!

Even if they have a chance of becoming family in the future...she should not go too far yet!

Who knows what will happen?!

The older woman finally spoke up. "We've been here for hours. Is Alexa coming or not?" The older woman, Calissa asked. She was shocked when Kate reached out to her telling her that she wanted to match make Alexa and her son, Shane. She didn't know how she was supposed to feel about it. After all, everyone knows who Alexa is.

They all know what Kate and her daughter have done to Alexa. Even though they kept telling people that they've reconciled, everyone knows that every rich family has some dirty laundry hidden between them. Besides, Alexa never agreed to anything.

Alexa is a really strong woman. She didn't run away after she was framed the way most women would. She stayed and exposed the people who framed her. Then she kicked her own father out of the company. She only let him with a few shares so he won't have to starve to death but she cut off all ties with him after that.

This kind of woman...even though she is capable, it will be impossible to subdue and control her. Her son is a man after all. He needs someone who he can control, not a woman who will ride all over him.

At first, Calissa wanted to reject this arrangement. But she thought about how thier company is in danger now and she had no other choice than to agree with it. She believed that as a mother in law, she will be able to make Alexa submissive to her and her son!

He and Alexa.... for as long as he could remember, Alexa is the woman that he is supposed to marry. She is the woman that he is going to spend the rest of his life with. He already accepted this fact.

However... there always seemed to be something missing when the both of them were together.

When he met Reina, he finally knew what was missing. Alexa she didn't love him. Not even a single bit.

Many times he wanted to ask her, but he did nor have the courage to. He was scared that he will have to face the fact that she doesn't love him. Not even a little bit.
