Chapter 1 Truth or dare

Truth or dare?

It was Mike's turn to choose. There were five students who were in the class during break time. Mike was among them and the girl he has had a crush on four two years was right there. Mike was hoping to get her today and dare her to give him a kiss but it had never worked a day for him.

He had engaged in over thirty-five "truth or dare" games this academic session just in order to get to kiss his crush. His crush was the type who was addicted to the "truth or dare" game. The game usually led them into doing naughty things and they played it when the teachers were away. But today the clock went wrong. June was the one asking him today.

"If I choose dare she could dare me to kiss another girl", he thought. "That's not what I want."

"I choose truth," he said in a bit of nervousness.

"Alright," the girl said, "here goes your question. Mike's heart started beating immediately she said this. A lot of possible questions she could ask started running through his mind.

Finally the question was dropped, "Who is your crush?"

"Umm.. That's too personal. Ask another thing please," Mike grumbled. He never saw this coming. He had thought of many other possible things June could ask but this didn't appear even at the least.

"No!" The others echoed. "You have to answer Mike, else you're spoiling the game."

"There's no big deal there. Feel free Mikey," June said innocently.

Mike was now like a computer running too many algorithms. He was thinking if he should let her know that it was her or lie that it was another person.

At first the idea of lying brought comfort to him but then he thought, "what if I just let the cat out of the bag? Set my mind free?"

This thought wasn't so comforting but it was hundred percent compelling.

After some many fast thoughts, Mike ended up deciding to beat around the bush.

"Okay.... My crush is fair with pure black hair. She is average in height and slim. She has a perfect figure eight curve..." he said while smirking and thinking that he had acted smart.

"Where's your crush right now?" June asked with a changed mood. Her aura suddenly felt different.

"Wait that's making it two..." Mike tried to say when June cut in.

"Cause you're not being straightforward!" She yelled, almost sounding annoyed.

"Alright. She's in the school here," said Mike, trying to chill everyone out.

"Where in the school?" June asked again. Not holding back her anger this time.

"Wait... why are you getting angry?" Mike asked and June shut him up immediately, "That's not an answer, Mike.."

At this moment Mike was filled with the option to lie but he couldn't understand why June suddenly switched moods. Her eyes were burning red.

"Okay. I'll answer this one. She's in the class here." He said still in thought of what was going on.

"And the question I asked you at first... Who's she?" She was all red and angry now.

Everyone watched the drama happening right there and were left speechless. Boys always respected mood swings cause a girl could do what she never thought of doing when she's having a mood swing.

"Alright. Alright. I'll tell you," Mike said sounding assuring.

"Go on," June said looking him straight in the eyes.

Mike bent his head low and said, "It's you June. I'm sorry I never told you."

Everyone was dumbfounded for a moment, including June whose mind had just been blown now. She stood staring at him in disbelief.

Immediately, June went closer to Mike and slapped him on the face, yelling at him, "that's what you get for being a coward for two years!"

Her voice sounded so broken.

With her eyes full of tears she ran out to the next class which was empty, bent her head over a desk and started crying.
