JANE'S POV:
I'm Jane, a girl with high hopes and an infectious spirit. As a fashion designer, I pour my heart into creating stunning clothes that stand out in the industry. My boutique shop is my pride and joy, where I craft each piece with love and dedication. My clothes exude affection, and I take pride in that.
As I worked on new designs in my boutique, the door knocked. I looked up to see my secretary, Sophia, holding some files. I smiled and gestured her in.
"Ma'am, I hate to say this, but you're working too much," Sophia said, placing the files before me. "The boutique is closed, and you're still here."
I raised an eyebrow. "Do you have a date, Sophia?"
Sophia beamed, nodding.
"You could've told me earlier," I said with a chuckle. "You may go now."
Sophia thanked me, clapping her hands. "I love you, boss!" She hurried out.
I stood up, stretched, and locked the boutique. Outside, I patted my pockets. "Where are my keys?"
Glancing into my car, I spotted the keys inside. "Great, just great."
The sky darkened, and thunder roared. I jumped, startled. Rain began pouring down.
A car approached, and I flagged it down. To my surprise, it stopped.
"Hi," I said, rushing to the window. "I forgot my keys in my car, and it's raining. Could you please drop me at the station? I'll miss the last bus."
The driver looked behind him and then nodded.
I ran to the other side and settled in behind where the owner of the car was sitting. As the car moved, I pushed my damp hair aside and sighed in relief.
"Thanks for helping me," I said, turning to the mysterious man. "No cars pass by here at this time."
He smiled. "I'm happy to help."
Our eyes met, and I felt an inexplicable flutter.
"Thanks again," I said, smiling back.
His voice, low and smooth, sent shivers down my spine. "You're welcome."
As we drove, the rain drummed against the windshield, and I wondered who this enigmatic stranger was.
As the car glided through the rain-soaked streets, the stranger's gaze shifted from the road to me.
"Why are you working so late?" he asked, his deep voice gentle.
I hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. "Just catching up on some designs," I replied, trying to sound casual.
"Designs?" His interest piqued.
"I'm a fashion designer," I explained. "I own a boutique shop."
His eyes sparkled. "That's impressive. What inspired you to pursue fashion?"
His genuine curiosity put me at ease. "I've always loved creating something beautiful," I said. "Fashion allows me to express myself, make people feel confident and stylish."
The stranger nodded thoughtfully. "You have a passion for it. That's rare."
We drove in comfortable silence for a moment before he spoke again.
"What's your name?"
"Jane," I replied.
"I'm ," he said, his smile reaching his eyes.
As we exchanged pleasantries, I noticed the elegance of his features – chiseled jawline, piercing blue eyes, and raven-black hair.
Miles questions continued, each one thoughtful and insightful. "What's your favorite part about running a boutique?" Do you design for specific clients or collections?"
His interest in my work surprised me. Most people asked superficial questions; Miles genuinely listened.
As the rain intensified, our conversation flowed effortlessly. I found myself sharing stories, laughter, and dreams with this stranger.
