Trees and the long road are the only things the Schneider family saw along their way to their great grandfather's hometown. They are considering it as a blessing, but they are not that happy at all.
The O'Dell town is far from the civilization with no internet, malls, five-star hotels, restaurants, bar, and amusement parks. It is an eco friendly village and agriculture is their main source of income. It is not their type and usual kind of surroundings so, they are expecting to have a lot of adjustment to do when they arrived.
"I'm sure that you guys will going to have some new friends there in an instant. O'Dell is not that bad. I used to live in there when I am a kid," the mother said, full of encouragement.
"Mom, that is a freaking old town in the middle of a forest! How can that be so good?" the eldest daughter yelled.
"In all good place in the world, why does grandfather choose to build his mansion in an old town? That's weird," the eldest son joined in.
"I will miss my old school, Mommy. I hate this," the youngest son grunted.
The father who's busy driving cleared his throat. "Stop whining, children. Be thankful for we now have our own home."
The three sighed and continued their individual business in their mobile phones. While on the back seat of the van, the youngest daughter is busy reading her SciFi novel. Her siblings called her weird and Little Miss. Granny for she didn't want phones, gadgets and other stuffs that uses internet. She prefer to be alone and always have her own world in her room.
"Lorie, are you okay back there, honey?" their mother asked.
Lorielle, the youngest daughter raised her hand up in the air and showed her thumbs up as her response.
"Don't mind her, Mom. I bet, she's happy in this sudden tragedy," the eldest daughter said.
"Nadine, can you stop pestering your sister, please?" the woman questioned.
Nadine shrugged. "I can't help it, Mom. She's annoying."
Loveline Nadine, the second to the eldest, a 22 years old teenage girl who loves girly stuffs, clubbing, and hanging up with some guys. She has a long blonde hair, brown eyes, fair and light silky skin. Her body is perfectly curved and she's undeniably gorgeous.
"Really annoying," the youngest son agreed.
"Enough, Louiell." their father growled.
Louiell Nero, the youngest among them, a twelve years old boy who loves online games and food. He is chubby, cute, and sweet.
"As long as she didn't touch my things, we're cool," the eldest brother chimed in.
"You two are the same, Nason," Nadine giggled.
Nason Lorde, the eldest among the four, a 24 years old happy-go-lucky guy. He spend his whole time in playing instruments, hooking up girls, and composing his own songs.
From that commotion, Lorielle didn't have a care at all. She just busy reading her book, not minding the noise they've made.
They are struggling in the city and expected to be homeless when Lorcan, the father, got fired from his job and they didn't have enough money to pay their bank loans. Their house became their loan's collateral and they already give them days to leave their home. Fortunately, their grandfather's trusted lawyer came and explode the big surprise about the old man's last will and testament.
Nairaia Lorielle Schneider is the name written in the last will and testament of their grandfather. She is the second youngest child of Lorcan and Nathalie Schneider. The weirdest and their not so good daughter. They all wondered why does their old man choose her to be his heir. In fact, they didn't have enough time to know each other too well and doesn't have quality time together. That scenario makes her siblings jealous and irritated.
The journey to their grandfather's hometown is long and boring. And the little excitement they have vanished in an instant when they finally arrived at O'Dell.
"Great! We're gonna be living like a medieval people," Nadine grunted.
"I didn't see anything interesting in here, Mommy," Louiell groaned.
